This app makes me hate my car

I had no idea what a horrible driving experience this one app can cause. Sometimes it automatically syncs, sometimes it doesn’t. Most of the time it acts like I’m a brand new user and makes me go through the start up tutorial. That’s a great use of time when you got some place to go. Then you have to keep the app running if you want basic turn by turn GPS. You’ll lose that if you want to change your song or music on the phone. Or if you get a call. That’s also fun when driving somewhere. Then there’s the constant going back and forth between your radio display and your phone. I’m sure that’s totally safe. If I wasn’t already stuck with this car I’d return it immediately just because of this horrible app. This will be my last Toyota vehicle.

2018 Rav 4 Sport. A lot to love about the vehicle. The “top of the line / upgraded” touch screen head unit is absolute trash. The speakers are garbage and little in the way of adjustments. The voice assistant is downright laughable. Driving on I-84 north of Snowville, Utah headed to Boise. There is nothing - literally nothing out there. Next city is Burley, Idaho. We were entertained by the ridiculousness of the responses we got to the same question “How far to Burley, Idaho” or some variant (eg What is the distance to.. or Wjt is the travel time to ...). It offered to call Burlington Coat Factory someplace, it actually called Grandma, etc etc. Read the agreement for this app. It basically says you agree that by connecting to your car, they can then use your data connection to upload tons of information to them. Where you go, how fast, what are you listening too, how many people are in the car. How many are adults can kids, G-forces on the car, etc ... All monetized as well. At least Google & Apple make products that genuinely make your life easier and are a pleasure to use most of the time while they track you. That’s just a start.

This is one of the worst apps I’ve seen. Not much thought or effort put into it.

First, Toyota needs dynamic maps and built in navigation standard. I have that on my 2013 Nissan Murano. I gave 2 stars ( 1 for the radio working, and 1 for at least having Bluetooth connectivity). I don’t use Entune at all because to get the best operation, you have to have it tethered via USB. Android users are the only ones that get to respond to texts via voice. So it kind of defeats the purpose all together if you own an iPhone. I just use maps on my phone if I need to, and use Siri to respond via voice from my phone, not the radio. So I stream music over Bluetooth, and have phone calls come in through the radio hands free. It’s just seriously lacking unless you spend the extra $1000 to upgrade the radio and pay for a monthly LTE subscription through Verizon if you want the best possible experience.

Looses GPS (Scout) connectivity and is difficult to recover, when using Bluetooth connectivity to listen to music the volume + /- triggers the iTunes music by itself. Those are my issues so far

Came here to update. It is actually fun to see so many people stuck with it like I do. When I look at what's new for the update, I see minor changes and bug fixed. This thing needs a reborn. No cosmetic surgery will fix this. I suggest they build a better relationship with Apple or google. Not some scout junk. Toyota, Although you have good reputation in the past, but you should know a small leak can sink a great ship.

The infotainment screen never loads whether I’m in park or driving and says make sure Entune is logged in or open on your phone but yet they wanna charge all this money for this bs app for the newer Model Toyota’s. Think I’ll go back to driving Infiniti where options like this are free. Bad move Toyota you guys need a different system

Constant issues with the entune.... Always having errors show up or disconnects with pandora.. Many numerous times have uninstalled and reinstalled apps and it only fixes the problem for a day or two. I have an android phone and an iPhone happens to both phones. Very, very frustrating
