Less enjoyable

One of my favorite features of this app was that I could download issues and read them on a plane. Now you have to be connected to the internet to access content, so you can no longer do this. :(

I stopped receiving this magazine on July 5. I deleted and reinstalled the app but when I tried to restore purchases it says: error syncing library. Tried to reach out to Entertainment Weekly but was denied any assistance. They blamed it on iTunes - sorry it is not their fault. Zinno is a horrible provider. Have deleted several of their apps and this one is next. Will not be renewing.

Issues used to appear every Friday, now issues never come or if they do they are weeks late.

Haven’t been able to sync issues. Can’t even see back issues. No solution given. Just say they are aware and sorry.

The move to monthly is annoyingly poor taste and reeks of desperation

I too am experiencing issues with accessing all of my digital issues. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app, along with logging out and back in. As this is an ongoing issue with the app, what is being done to fix it???

The new update increased photo resolution, which had been sacrificed previously to facilitate faster downloads. Now we get both. I’ve been a EW subscriber for about 30 years, and switched to digital when it was first available.

When is a Weekly NOT a Weekly?

When it’s Entertainment Weekly... er... MONTHLY! Seriously guys, I have no interest in reading month-old news. Film, television, music, books, theatre - so much is going to be lost in a monthly format, like topicality. You’ve lost sight of your mission. I give it two years (though likely less) before you fold entirely. Shame.

New format is horrible, and impossible to read. The layout is atrocious, and now they're going to one monthly issue. I like Entertainment Weekly, as in every week. As a lifelong reader (I still have issue 1), this is kind of crushing. I look forward to my weekly read of the issue, where I plan what to watch on tv for the week, what books to check out, movies to see. It's always sad watching a magazine you have loved for decades die. And that's exactly where this is going. Monthly magazines are sad. Edit: got a thank you from the developer for this review and they’re glad I’m enjoying using the app. Good to know they’re complete tools.
