Game Changer

This app is what I was missing as a DM. It has everything you need with as little or as many features as you want to use. I have tried almost every VTT or digital encounter builder out there, and this has been my favorite experience. It’s easy to learn and they keep adding new features.

Severely Underrated App

This app is amazingly underrated. It's awesome. It's perfect for both on and offline games. Offline I airplay to our TV and we play in the living room and online I airplay to the windows store AirServer app and then broadcast that to Discord. It's so easy and the app is super intuitive. Surprisingly feature-packed for something with only about 400 reviews. Highly recommended. I use it with my iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil works wonderfully with it. Absolutely perfect for my needs.

I have used this app for such a long time, and I genuinely love it, Personally, I don’t use the battlemap (although it looks great), but the spells and the monster compendium are super awesome at keeping a simple, easy, collection of monsters on the phone. You can make your own monsters/spells, copy existing ones to modify, edit any existing spells or monsters etc. The app comes with an already downloaded 300+ monsters to toy with and edit. You can add the monsters very easily to a health tracker, and it even has built in dice rollers (if an attack on a monster sheet has 3d6 on it for example, you just click on the word “3d6” and a menu pops up and rolls for you.). Best part is, the monsters/spell compendiums are free, they don’t throw ads at you every 2 seconds (they don’t throw ads at all actually) like other apps, and they don’t lock the best features behind a huge paywall. As someone who doesn’t have a whole lot of money to spend on d&d (or on anything at all really) I super appreciate the developers keeping those parts as a free to use service. I do plan on donating to them, or subbing to their premium stuff when I can because I feel like I owe them for how easy this has made dm’ing, and also because i just really love the app. I know this is suspicious to say, but I promise I’m not a paid reviewer or anything, I’m just a genuine fan who really, really loves this app. Must have for DM’s, 5/5 stars

The ONLY app I use when DMing

I used to use OneNote and a bunch of other apps to run a VTT and track notes and stats and initiative.. Now, after a little set up, this is the ONLY app that I use for my game.. It is, hands down, the best DM tool you can use.. I AirPlay to my TV on the game table and everyone uses their minis and can see the initiative tracker so no one is confused when it’s their turn.. I can display notes for the players to read, images for players to see, whatever I need.. it is the best..

I am keeping the 5 star review because this app was amazing. However, now I am getting a bug where the map does not appear for me. It is still a powerful combat tracker, but the map does not appear.

Very useful app for DM’s

My only complaint is that the app does not have the full list of official monsters/spells/items, but I love how easy it is to create your own content or even just tweak existing ones to create slightly different material. If they ever decide to release a full compendium I would be willing to pay as it is frustrating to add in all the info for a basic monster manual creature or magic item.

THE tool for DMs

If you’ve use VTTs before and are looking for another solution or if you’re looking for a more hybrid VTT/in-person experience, this is the app for you. It has online functionality if you wish to play remotely, but where is really shines is its second screen experience that brings games to life. Whether you’re using static maps or animated maps, it does an incredible job of allowing the DM to manage all of the aspects of combat. But thats not all. It does include a lot of campaign management tools from writing out pages and pages of information, NPC management, maps with pins for certain events, and a robust organization hierarchy. I use it exclusively for all of my DMing needs. There is one thing to keep in mind though and this is no fault of the app itself. Due to WOTC’s licensing agreements with 3rd parties, the only monsters that come with the app are the Basic Rules monsters. That means you have to provide your own maps and add any monsters manually that are not included in the Basic Rules. By far not a deal breaker and out of the developer’s hands. LOVE THIS APP!
