Not customizable enough

I see how it works, but I do not however like in the spell menu you cannot create your own custom spells, it will only accept generic things such as “Fireball” why can’t we just make custom named spells? Another thing; the EXP award does not work, every time I input a value it just sets it to 0 it’s broken I guess? This app need some more editing and polish before I can consider using it or recommending it to a friend.

I really do love the app. With all of the add-ons it works great. Spells are accurate to the PHB as well as creatures. Maps work well. Had to learn the hard way to use some of the features. Where I have a slight issue is when I cable dock my tablet to my TV and mirror the screen. The app doesn’t recognize that I am connected, even though my tablet does. The tv displays the entire dm screen instead of just the map.

This app makes life sooooo much easier when having encounters! You can add monsters, players (full character sheets!), and even create your own monsters! It Puts everything on the map in order of initiative and you can add or subtract hit points as you play! No need to write out entire encounters!!! And, there are even maps with character markers you can use to keep track of where players and monsters are! Amazing app!
Multiplayer?

Would love to give 5 stars, but where’s the multiplayer? There is no app that has it all, but this is the closest. I’ve been to the depths of the App Store, and this is the best. I suggest adding multiplayer functionality and a simple dice roller. So many people who want to play tabletop on mobile. My group has no time to get together and we’re looking for somewhere to play on mobile. I’ll have to use this app and screen shot to send pics to them.. rather then sharing a link or having them get the app. We would pay $ for this if we could play online together. Thanks and continue developing

This app is hands down the best app available for DMs. Tracking Initiative and Conditions is fantastic. The map location feature is great. You can add all of your players, custom monsters, spells, and items. The only thing I request is a feature on the map that allows you to see the area of effect. Like a 15ft cone, etc.

Encounter+ is a great app for anyone who wants to be a DM, however there's a few things that I hope are implemented in the future. First, I would like to add in scripting options such as bold or italicized words. Next, not having the ability to add in artifacts, classes, races, etc. prevent the DM from using this app as a standalone without the need of external sources. Other than these inconveniences, the app does wonders. The more flexibility that is given towards customizing your game, the better it will become.

Very cool app but I purchased the external air play IAP which has failed me spectacularly. Can’t find anywhere to ask questions. All I get is a dark blurry blob on screen. I’ll gladly give this 5 stars if I can get that working! UPDATE. kinda fixed with workaround for now. Haven’t seen f I’ll repeat! Thanks for the help

Love the app, it drives all my campaigns. I will continue to use it as it keeps being maintained and improved. I do wonder what the iCloud folder structure is for. Would love to know how I can import/export my players or custom stuff via individual xml files in there and do some editing on the Mac.

Without spending more money on the features THAT SOME PEOPLE MAY NOT HAVE TO SPEND this app is useful Ish but if you can’t play most of the features are missing
