This app does not work more than it does. We always get “no data” readings when her receiver is working just fine. When my daughter goes low she has seizures. This would be nice to get an alert BEFORE she gets that low. But it never happens. I was also hoping this would give me piece of mind when she stays with other people. Not impressed!!

One suggestion though. The parents are usually the ones using the follow app, so it would be nice if we could get notifications like when a sensor needs changed or transmitter expirations. Also be able to add dosages and amount of carbs from the follow app.

Used to be fine but the past 3 months it NEVER has data. It will be working fine on my daughters phone but not ours. Sharing is turned on, WiFi and data streaming are fine. We will be sitting right next to each other and my phone still says no data. Restarting, reinstalling and turning blue tooth on and off corrects the problem maybe 50% of the time. Otherwise we just usually have to wait it out.

If ai could give this zero stars i would. We have bee yang this for 7 days and i constantly rwceive no data, the alter don’t fire or a message regarding testing with no timeline or expectation.

I don’t like that you know have to set notifications on the Dexcom app and that the follower can set their own. This causes issues when you need to change the settings and it forces you to resend and invitation to the follower. This starts a cycle of fighting to get the app working by not allowing you to add it to the same device again unless you have some kind of freakin dark magic! I’ve been trying to refollow my child for three hours now. Fix this!

Ever since the glitch of Thanksgiving 2019 my follow app has never been the same! For some parents this app is their only peace of mind while their child is at school and used to be mine as well, unfortunately I can not rely upon it working properly and if customer service got back to me in response to my correspondence when the server was down on more than the Thanksgiving occasion, I don’t recall it happening. The G5 was more accurate for my son true enough to be reliable but the upgrade to the g6 to communicate with the tslim x2 sounded wonderful. What they don’t tell you is that the system as a whole comes to the user in stages not all at once to be a working system to rely on with your child’s well being for the present. I’m sure that given the perfect introduction it is ideal and helpful but as of lately it’s wonkiness is wearing my patient to zilche! Once you pair the Tandem tslim x2 and the Dexcom g6 any error or problem is directed to Tandem although we order our products from Byram Health Care which is not a joint account either (one handles the transmitter and sensors, and the other is for ordering the pump supplies. After that you are passed off to Tandem much like passing the buck to not get anywhere but further frustrated!) and creates an ordering fiasco in itself frustrating. I’m not unhappy with the products themselves it’s the lack of communication and ignoring of my desperate emails and phone calls that gets me so upset with Diabetes even more so then anything because I can not communicate or negotiate with Diabetes itself so when I can’t get a live person on the phone or return my call it’s difficult for me to be a nice person.

I really like being able to keep an eye on my loved one’s numbers. The most important issue is that I cannot customize the alert tones. It uses my default tone. This means I miss the alarm most of the time. The only alternative is to change the default so that every app that is sending me a notification screams for my attention. I think this is a MAJOR design flaw that should be quickly addressed.

Since we’ve started using it it’s not worked more than it has. Tech support has said basically there’s many variables that can effect the app and it’s connectivity to the dexcom transmitter such as a microwave, having your wireless turned on, using other Bluetooth devices and it goes from there. This whole system is definitely very sensitive. The only bonus is at night when the smart device connected to the transmitter are side by side next to my sons bed and neither are being touched. That’s when it works the best and we have peace of mind during the night that everything is working. It shouldn’t be that way though. I’d like it to work overnight as well as while he’s outside playing or just sitting playing a game on his phone. Needs some improvement for sure.
