despise new “depop payments”

as a seller who relies on Depop as a much needed extra income, the idea of having to wait 4-7 days for my money is outrageous. It never used to be this way, I was always able to collect my money instantly but now with this ridiculous new REQUIRED feature, my earned money is withheld for no reason. This app has always had terrible customer service and high selling & buying fees. Ill be selling elsewhere from now on, I don't recommend using this app if you are relying on having the money from selling within a week.

Been a great app so far for the past couple years but once they’ve added this “depop payments”, it’s made it less enjoyable. It used to feel like your own shop when transactions were clear upon purchasing but now it’s like the shop isn’t even mine anymore, feels like we work for depop. (So to speak). Don’t like that now we gotta wait for the payments to clear, it’s more of a hassle now. I especially don’t like this new offer system either. It completely takes away from the seller and buyer interaction when it comes to negotiating prices. It’d make sense if we can send an offer back to the potential buyer but no, I just have to shut it down and hope they come up with a better offer that I can accept. Anyways might move to a different plat form where it’s more street and I can get my talk and currency on date.

Love the app, but I think it'd be cool to have a post notification option available for sellers. I'm trying to buy a necklace from iGirl but she sells out very fast and I never know when she restocks her items. It'd be cool in general to be notified when your favorite Depoppers post something new :)

Updated review: thank you for responding to my review with the offer of help. App is much better after reinstalling. To the developers, I have a few thoughts on improving the depop shopping experience: 1. The ability to follow hashtags or set up alerts for certain keywords. 2. Have the search page remember the spot you were at if you accidentally swipe backwards to the previous search inquiry. 3. Broaden the “search by brand” feature. Right now there are very little brands to choose from. Switch it to user entered data to allow for obscure brands to be searchable. Thanks! Original review: App is always quitting on me especially when I’ve scrolled really far into a search and lose my place. Needs more specific search perimeters too.

Feel like i’m over charged by depop

I am a seller on Depop and from what i understand, when I sell Something, the buyer pays the amount of the item+ the shipping for the item, then Depop takes the cost of the shipping + the 10% of the price of the item of clothing. But recently i’ve been feeling like they’re doing extra charges. for example, I just sold something for $61 and it had $4.75 shipping and i was only sent $63.54 to my account. meaning they only sent $2.54 for shipping so i’m wondering where that other $2.21 is for shipping. The problem is this is, Depop then took $10.85 from my paypal. Which is $4.75 shipping and 10% which is $6.10. which makes sense but in the end, I am out money because the seller didn’t send all of the money.... I am very confused please help
