Great product but the new version has issues

(Downgrading my review because I’ve had more issues with this VPN. It makes Uber and lyft and Google maps all break and so I continually have to remove CovenantEyes from my phone making it useless – Covenant eyes people – please go back to a having a non-VPN option at least before I need to cancel my subscription) This is a great concept but the new version has some issues. It uses a VPN connection to CovenantEyes servers. The result is that you are going to get certificate errors in some applications such as Google maps or Google email. I’ve had Google maps sometimes not work until I uninstalled CovenantEyes. I’ve also had continual certificate errors when using Google mail. I’ve also noticed some slow down and performance impacts when CovenantEyes was enabled they go away soon as I delete it. From time to time I find websites that don’t work in the CovenantEyes browser but they do work in Google Chrome. Overall this is a great product but they need to work on the new VPN Based version as it’s a bit clunky in its first release

It does what it is suppose to and is a good filtering option for families. It still is not nearly as smooth as Safari and is kind of awkward when clicking on an email. However I think the pros outweigh he cons

This app I totally useless and dumb. It reframed me from doing my schoolwork and it's restrictions are out of hand and totally pointless. If u think about downloading this app, don't. Please.

Great stuff. I did not expect it to be such a good browser. It actually parallels safari and in some aspects is even better. For example, the intuitive video feature is great! I highly recommend this browser
WARNING: No good for IPhone and iPad

While I like the concept of this software and know it’s done good for many- the iPhone and iPad apps are completely useless because the user can delete the app at any time without their partners being notified. The user can use the app for half the day- delete it for 20 minutes for porn use- and then reinstall it without anyone seeing an issue. This is a major loophole that must be fixed. While the computer software warns people of you generate an uninstall code- there is no such thing for iPad and iPhone. I recommend Accountable2You for IOS devices.

The browser is a lot slower than other browsers like Safari and Chrome, and that's something that could be improved, but for the benefits I needed from it, I can deal with slower speed.
VPN should be option or customizable

I understand the VPN approach in theory but in practice it is not good to be forced to take it. As an amateur auto mechanic I watch YouTube videos and need to read the comments on the YouTube videos for any corrections or clarifications offered by others. With this app, I am not able to read such comments. So I have the VPN on my ipad (unfortunately) and can’t turn off the VPN to read the comments. I tried hard to avoid updating covenant eyes on my phone so that I could preserve reading those comments. But the update somehow got through and now I am stuck without a browser on my phone so I can continue reading the comments. It would be best to allow users to customize the VPN experience (like they do with the browser) or make it optional. I will be looking for a new service when this one expires - not worth destroying the car or wasting money taking it to the dealer
