Just ridiculous

JLCinSD

If I had $1 for each time I had to fiddle with this thing I’d have enough to replace all 4 of the speakers with another brand. Listen Bose. This app is destroying your rep at least with me. The volume control is VERY unstable. Sticks or jumps by itself. It’s a running joke with my family. Suddenly one speaker is blasting or they’ve all gone quiet. Don’t bother blaming it on me, I’ve upgraded and repositioned all WiFi components and it still does it. No more Bose for me.

Buggy and sluggish

Bluebrewer26

This app is always slow to respond, my speakers cut out frequently while I am listening, and I frequently get stuck in a loop where the app won't work, it says it needs to be updated, I go to the App Store and there is no update and no way to exit the loop. It would be so much easier to have real radio controls that actually respond when you use them!

Dead ends

The SoundTouch app tarnishes the reputation of the Bose brand. The Soundwave device is connected via Ethernet, so finding it should never be a problem, but it is. And when the app on my phone can’t find my SoundWave, I usually land on a screen that has no exit other than endless “retry” attempts. It’s been a frustrating experience - especially because when it works it all sounds great, so I know exactly what I’m missing.

Problems with Apple Music and Bluetooth

DrChazz26

SoundTouch speakers sound great. We have an ST120 and an ST20. It is very frustrating that Apple Music can’t be added as a service in this app. Amazon Prime Music, Pandora, etc are all available yet somehow Apple Music is not. It is also very annoying that our ST20 can’t be added as a joined speaker when we use our AppleTV (or any other device connected to the ST120). The “excuse” given is that “you wouldn’t want to listen to music while you’re watching something”. Who is Bose to tell me how I want to use my speakers? Maybe I want 8 ST20 laying around my room for an insane surround sound experience. Maybe I want to stream Apple Music on my AppleTV to other Bose speakers. If you are incapable of making these connections happen, fine. Just admit it. Don’t play it off as if you are protecting my ears from my own decisions. Also, listening to music played via Bluetooth is terrible. Every 15 seconds it sounds like a cd is skipping. Fix the Bluetooth and add Apple Music and I will happily change my rating to 5/5 because the interface of this app is easy to understand and the speakers sound great.

New look okay

Still no change in my comments below... Would like Love it but could be way better. What is so hard about adding a SLEEP TIMER function to the app? And please put artist and album names on separate lines with a bigger font size. We don't all have young eyes...

Bose delivers smooth noise to our ears!!!

First thing we do every morning is turn on our Bose SoundTouch System. It echoes throughout the house while the kids wake up and get ready for school and the adults get ready for work. Good tunes from our favorite Pandora stations (Ray Lamontagne & The Band)!!! Works like a charm!!!! The Mann Family

Good, but...
