I3

Don’t like to give negative review but I have had my i3 Rex for 1 month and the app simply won’t work. Been to dealer twice and the genius has called for additional support each time. No progress. And never any follow up. Very disappointing. Not sure what to do.

I can’t get it to work consistently

Dr.R1

BMW seems proud of their electronics but this app only works occasionally. I have problems with the whole I drive system. Maybe it is just me.

Pretty terrible

Not sure why a company like bmw Can’t get interaction with Apple iPhones right. It’s buggy. I spoke to bmw “genius’” and they said it’s systemic. Bmw and Apple are just lousy together

Helpful, but needs improvement

Bobaloo222

I like the information, but get aggravated that I often need to do a reset to use the app. At a minimum, you have to log in, and on occasion I have to delete and reinstall the app.

Awesome but it has a lot more potential.

I love the app. It’s great to be able to push destinations directly to my car so they’re ready to go as soon as I get in. Also being able to find the vehicle wherever it is. However, I’ll like to have a few more options available like: Being able to close the windows. Put the car on something like “stolen mode” Seeing other important stats like battery level. Sending diagnostics directly to your preferred BMW service shop. I hope BMW works on some of this options. Keep up the good work!

I'm having trouble with this one

Alyssa0411

I can't even add my car to this app. It says to plug in the last 7 characters of the VIN. I have done that about 10 times now and I keep getting an error saying that it's not correct and I can't add the vehicle. I don't know what else I need to do. The characters are all correct!!! Come on you dumb app, WORK FFS!!! So frustrating.

Pathetic app

Anamaniacs1982

The app doesn’t refresh in real-time It gives false indications such as car is unlock yet upon physical inspection the car is locked. Does not update location of vehicle in real-time either. For example the vehicle is at home yet it shows the location of my work location...

German engineering? Nah, just crap

There’re no words for my disappointment in this app. Starting with 2012 335i right up to my 2017 X3 30i, this app is slow, ponderous and unreliable. As good as iDrive itself has becomes, this app retains BMW’s penchant to do things like stupid cup holders and insist they are brilliant.

Great news with the latest update but not working

Rashed R.

Great news if it actually worked, the app now only starts and asks for the acceptance of the user agreement but keeps asking for acceptance time and time again and does not go beyond that... needs a bug fix

Lack of features for older Hybrids

RichKer

When I purchased a 2013 BMW Hybrid 5 the app had many great features that worked with the car. Each version/update drops support and BMW never continued support of the original version that actually worked.(iOS update made it useless). Unless you buy a new car every two years their app cycle doesn’t make sense. Especially for resale as the new owner will most likely be able to use it. My wife has a Ford Explorer Sport with Sync; and as bad of reviews that Sync gets all of Ford’s updates to the app have only enhanced what they had back in 2013. The app works 100% on the Ford to contrast that to the BMW app which has about 20% of its original functionality.
