New update doesn’t work

Chromecast addict

New update 3 days ago and now my app won’t launch and I have no home security Thanks.

Just use your Common Sense

Meadow Ct

I have my four cameras. I have two in the front of the house and two in the rear. They are great! Just use Common sense in your expectations. For the price they can’t be beat. I read the reviews and the negative reviews either reflect a lack of understanding or higher expectations. The two cameras in the front pick up anyone approaching the front door. The second camera follows anyone walking up the side walk to the front door. The one camera in the rear shows a large area in the yard. The 4th camera I use to monitor varmints who eat my plants. I can move these cameras pretty much anywhere I wish within 100 feet of the house. When there is too much activity from the wind blowing a bush within camera range, I can turn it off. The night vision is great. It is not in color. I watch deer, raccoons, groundhogs very clearly. They are so sensitive that it will pick up movement when something or someone it at the outer edge of the camera range. I certainly expect to replace my lithium batteries before the two year expectation but that is a small price to pay for all the features the cameras provide. Many issues can be resolved by owning a good modem/router. Now, I plan to purchase a mini for inside my home.

Make alerts a option for EACH camera

Courtmus

I have high traffic areas where I don’t want an alert every time a car drives by but I want the area to be recorded- please update

Not Plug and Play

AlstonDavid

Not easy to use or plug and play. Difficult.

Dos not work with XT2 on iPad

Howsoo

The XT2 camera has the selling point of 2 way communication. This is useful only with the “Liveview” feature. The app says it works with iPad, but it does not. It seems to work only with the IPod.

Resync module on WiFi loss

Bubba conch

You have to resync the module every time the wifi is lost. That means scanning in the QR code and telling it which network to connect to, re-entering the password. UGH! It should automatically resync once the network is back up. Very aggravating.

Obnoxious forced upgrade, again

Hopalong Rabinowitz

5-11-20 - Just a few months after my first review, below, Blink is again borking their app and again trying to force an upgrade on thousands of people who don’t need or want to upgrade. To upgrade the Blink app on this device will require an iOS update, which would in turn require updating 3-4 DOZEN other apps, which are all functioning flawlessly. Folks, again, learn from my mistake. Blink is a bullying, uncaring company (Amazon) that shamelessly creates huge inconveniences for their customers. The swamp that you will get sucked into if using their products simply isn’t worth it. Avoid Blink. Previous review—This is one of those obnoxious apps that, for genuinely no good reason nor actual technical need, forces an upgrade. Don’t have a new enough iOS on your device (on purpose)? Tough, you can no longer use your cameras. You have to upgrade your iOS and all of your stinkin’ apps to continue to use your Blink cams because, hey, Amazon is all about “my way or the highway”. If I hadn’t purchased so many of the cameras (before Amazon purchased Blink) I’d throw this in the trash. Learn from my mistake.

Love the cameras, but app always logging me out

Badgermomto3

I’ve been using the Blink outdoor cameras and app for over a month now. For the most part, I’ve been pleased. My biggest issues though are 1. The camera not turning on until after motion has ended and 2. The app is logging me out every few days. If you have any solutions, I would be most appreciative!

Horrible

Saved video won’t send on iMessage

DrewCanDo

When you save a video on the app to an iPhone, it used to go thru when sent to someone via iMessage. When the app was updated, the videos get stuck and you can’t send via iMessge without converting it on iMovie. Quite annoying, please fix this problem!!!
