Terrible App That Doesn’t Work

Speaker Bluetooth works well, but I’m having the same issue that other reviewers have written about in that the Ultimate Ears app does not find any WiFi networks. It just continues to search for nearby networks without finding any or throwing and error message. I called support and they were of no help. This app needs to be overhauled and fixed ASAP. I’ll be returning this speaker.

The megablast I got for Christmas sounds excellent! Too bad the ultimate ears app won’t find a single wireless network to connect to and I can’t use Alexa! I’ve tried using the app on two different phones, and in two different houses across. The wheel sits there spinning while it endlessly searches for a network no matter what. I’m dying to use Alexa! Time to work out some bugs. Update... a month later. Update this useless app. I am extremely frustrated. Looks like you gave up on replying to your customers’ comments too. Get ready for yet another returned product. Worthless app.

I just got my megablast today and was super excited to get it up and running . I have now been trying to do that for a half hour . the app will find my speaker but can’t find my wifi , it just sits and spins the entire time . the most annoying part about this is almost every review on here has to do with the same exact issue ! you’d think they would have it fixed by now but apparently not . pretty ridiculous . I just want the alexa part of my speaker to work . if I wanted a regular bluetooth speaker , I would have just stuck with my megaboom !
Will not find any WiFi networks

After waiting for 20 minutes for to find any Wi-Fi networks it has found zero! My computer and phone have found 20 and they find it instantaneously. This device is useless without Wi-Fi!! I have no clue what to do other than use the device only with Bluetooth. Very very very frustrating. I would stay away from all blast related products from ultimate ears.

Mines works great. Well the first 2 I got. It kinda idk. Shorted out or I guess tripped on me. I first got my very first mega blast from a T-Mobile store as a great deal for my iPhone 8 and a 8+ for me and my girlfriend. My first 2 tripped on me and I used them both once. Then it started to act up and I never been able to use it afterwards. But my 3rd one is going fine for now and I had it for a awhile. That’s my girlfriends speaker. And the Alexa thingy is fun. And hilarious. So far so good. And I have a UE megaboom and I love it a lot. Take it to work. And everywhere I go. Hopping it’ll last a long time. Because I’m not getting rid of it. ❤️

The Megablast is like 10 steps backwards from previous products like Megaboom: No double up function Constantly disconnecting Constant interruptions when playing music through Alexa Sound is not that much better than the Megaboom Ridiculous price for the charging base!! Como on guys, fix this!!!!!

After having the speaker for a little over three months. Finally got fed up with the lack of support for the product. Doing the initial setup it never allowed me to connect my speaker to Wi-Fi. So I continued to use the speaker without it being connected to Wi-Fi, but periodically while the speaker was playing the music that was stored locally on my phone it would randomly either power off or disconnect from my phone. I emailed support and they suggested that I update the firmware of my speaker. I would’ve updated of course if the app has functioned properly to allow me to do so in the first place. Hope to see the Megablast improve as I really wanted to love this speaker how I loved my Megaboom, but until that day comes I’ll opt for one of the competitors products.

Just got it today...loving it so far...want more features like the rest of the folks say it should have. I guess they will come with the updates as it comes along. No hiccups so far. Did notice while driving every time I touched my iPhone 8+ to do something...the vol would drop and I’d have to turn it back up via the speaker...that is a slight pain but I’m sure they’ll fix it when features allow you more control. Hope it doesn’t die on me as I’ve heard this is the case for some. So far I’m impressed with it...sounds great. Want to try out the water proof but I’ll let that happen by accident. Wish it had more lights for a party but it looks ok. I’ll write another review later because it’s only hours old for me...

Megaboom is better. I wrote a 1 star review earlier but changed it because I gave customer service one last shot and the guy made a difference for me. Still isn’t as good as the megaboom. Megablast is louder but cant connect to multiple speakers. Rather have two megaboom instead
