Seriously? This is your app team’s best work?

None of the issues mentioned in the prior review written four months ago have been addressed. This has to be one of the most poorly-designed, visually unappealing and generally unhelpful apps I’ve ever used. Clearly they’ve never assembled even a rudimentary focus group of typical members to beta test the app. I’ll only touch on a few of the glaring problems and omissions. 1. A few people use iPhones today. There’s a not-so-new feature call Face ID. Update your app so that people know it’s supported. Right now it says it isn’t, despite the fact it works. 2. As per the prior review I can’t see any of my wife’s information despite being the primary. I should be able to access or link to it seamlessly. Put all subaccounts on a toggle. We know it’s possible, other states already do it. 3. The medication list says “No medications listed”. I’ve received mail order prescriptions for years. Where are they? 4. When registering it asks for email. When logging in it asks for username. Can I register with either one? It would be nice to know upfront. Can I use a phone number instead? Tell me on the registration page. 5. Who in their right mind would want to receive BCBS marketing messages unrelated to their personal healthcare via text message? Email it. Spend more time developing an interface that helps the patient not the company. 6. Need a template for an efficient and dependable mobile app that would translate nicely to the healthcare arena? Look at the Capital One 360 banking app. 90% of personal medical information (doctors, appointments, medications, clinic notes, directories, etc.)could be easily presented in the same type of app format. Make it intuitive, efficient, aesthetically pleasing and above all don’t waste people’s time. No one wants to go on a fishing expedition when they’re looking for a specific piece of information. We’ve done our part. Now please address the issues.


Log-in Issues Galore!

This app is terrible!!!! I had high hopes, but couldn’t even get past the login screen a second time. Was able to successfully get in once, and see my digital cards, appointments etc but upon attempting a second login a day later it wouldn’t work. Password recovery didn’t work. I continued to get “invalid token” alerts. I even attempted to set up a second account, using a different email and ended up with the same issues. Fix your login experience!!!!

It says to fill all required fields. NO fields are marked as required, but I filled out ALL fields, but could not register. Useless!


FIX THE PASSWORD ISSUE

The app was just updated two weeks ago, so please explain to me why I STILL can't use the same password for the website and app?!


Impossible to log in

When I attempt to log into the app, it says my password is invalid because it doesn’t contain a special character. Why is the app trying to validate password rules upon login, rather than just registration? Then, when I use the website to change my password, it doesn’t let me use special characters.

I can’t even register a new account to use this app. I am unable to mark that l’ve read and accepted the term and privacy statements so the app won’t complete my registration. I have: 1. emailed the support email that was listed in this App Store description, then 2. phoned Blue Cross Blue Shield Massachusetts customer support who in turn forwarded to their IT support the problem along with the screenshot I sent them. Months after #1 and weeks after #2, I have gotten no reply. Computers and apps will always have hiccups and would not have earned this app one star; zero effort from a healthcare provider’s IT support is what makes me say “forget this app.”


I can not sign up

I can sign in via web but each time I try to sign up with a new email. I receive a message that I have already signed up with this email but when I try to sign in I receive a message that my password is incorrect and when I try to the forget password option I receive a message that this username is not exist! It is an inconsistent loop!

Password for website does not work with mobile app and I have to re-register. Why have an app then? Just access through website - does not inspire a lot of trust! Did not get past the registration since in addition, my member card does not have a suffix and has more than 12 digits. Already spend more time on this than the possible benefits it promises.

This app is completely useless, don’t waste your time downloading it. You can’t log in with the same credentials as the BCBS website?! This makes no sense at all.
