New update caused app to stop working

I’ve had these lights for 3 years and they worked great. 2 days ago the new update failed us. My wife didn’t do the update and the app lights work fine for her.

I have C9 24 light strings. App worked fine last year. I was putting up my lights(for Halloween...then I just change the colors for each holiday until after the new year), and spent an hour trying to get the app to work. I reset three different strings several times. Finally occurred to me to read some of the reviews to find other folks with the same problem. I hope they fix the app soon!

This app really has only one downfall: you have to use stores at the bottom to cycle through all the screens instead of a handy list. Other than that, it does what it says it does.
Fix for current issue not connecting

The problem is ios update. The current applight app does not work with ios 13. If you have an iOS device not updated or know someone who does you can use it to set your lights till they get it fixed. Thank goodness my wife does not like updating. I was able to download the app on her phone and use it to set my lights to halloween. Hope this helps. Fyi when I called gemmy they didn’t even tell me this. Just that there is a problem and there working on it. Not what the problem actually was. It’s a shame they make great products but have crappy customer service.

Since the update I can’t switch themes. Same issues does not change themes with iOS 13 update.. Recent update did not help

The lights worked for the 4th of July. Unfortunately the lights are stuck in 4th of July mood. I’ve made several attempts to reset and restore per the instructions. No luck. Red, White and Blue is a great patriotic color combination, just not for Halloween though ??

Worked great until their update messed it all up. Now there don’t even turn on at all. Sorry going to purchase new products from another company this year. Customer service didn’t even help either.

Love the lights and have had them for a few years now. But wish you guys would do an update and add some new patterns to the lights so we could change things up over the years.

Update the app already, it’s been the same functions year after year. Let the user be able to have more control of what the lights do.
