Updated app for 2020!!!

I’ve had the string AppLights for a couple years now, and the Bluetooth pairing was always painful if I wanted to change colors or effects — until 2020. I brought out the lights for Halloween, downloaded the updated app, and the Bluetooth pairing was instant. I could not believe it, one bright spot (pun) in a dark year.

It takes 11 months for me to forget just how clunky and frustrating this app is. I’m constantly disconnected from the device, and constantly having to rest the password. This is bad enough, but the interface is very bad, not intuitive, and extremely frustrating. I just want to change the colors and it ends up taking 30 minutes and multiple trips to unplug the outdoor light. Once things are set it’s fine, but there are easier products out there. Keep shopping.
Love the lights, need more control

The title says it all. Great color, effects and color palette boring after a few years. Gemmy, please update the app to allow for color control and more effects. Thank you

My lights are two or three seasons old and this App will not recognize them. For awhile it recognized one of the six strings but no more. I’ve tried to determine if it’s the lights or the app but good luck on that. Yes my Bluetooth is in, yes I’ve set and reset the passwords and reset the devices. Boo
What happened?

In one year the light show app went from not only being functional, loaded with easy to control features and visually stunning to something that looks like a class project. I think I’ll just plug the lights in and call it good.
Lights Don't Work

I bought these during the Christmas season specifically for my patio. Just installed them this summer. Half of both strings has a mind of its own and doesn't respond to the app. I have to unplug them overnight. They work ok for about an hour, then back to the same. Very disappointing considering the cost and now I can't take them back. Don't waste your money on these!

They work really good for Christmas then as soon as it rains they started flickering and going out couple months later tried to turn on mine only a couple lights work called company only have a 90 day warranty do not try to assist you just have that whatever your out 500 dollar customer service not worth the money that you pay for them
