It’s great when it works

It’s great when it works - searching is more productive with a keyboard. When it doesn’t work - often - it’s frustrating. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled this app a dozen times trying to get it to recognize my Apple TV. It’s unreliable.

Hate having to select my Apple TV every time

Annoying to have to select the only Apple TV I have set up on my network every time. Also when putting my phone to sleep, it’s extremely clumsy to access my screen and have the app still active interrupting whatever I’m watching

I like the remote when it works but the problem is that it so frequently doesn’t. I often get the error message telling me that my phone must be on the same network as the Apple TV...after I was just using it a few minutes earlier. I’ve unpaired the remote but can’t get it to re-pair. It’s very frustrating. And don’t get me started on the problems I’ve had with my Apple TV 4K. I love Apple but I’m experiencing a lot of trouble and frustration with their products right now.

When it works, it’s great. But it is horribly unreliable. I have to unplug and restart my Apple TV every time I want use it. It will not always pick up when I do this and gives the typical Apple response response which assumes I’m doing something wrong. I agree with the previous posts when they wonder why these problems haven’t been addressed.

You would expect a company like Apple to make decent apps for their OWN products, but nah. This app is total garbage. It shuts down in the middle of use, it’s twitchy, and if you have more than one Apple TV, it won’t pick up the others at ALL. Apple....fix your crappy app. That is all.

It always tells me to use the same WiFi network as my TV. Well duh. I only have one WiFi signal in the house. 90% of the time it will not connect. So a useless app if it cannot connect...ever.

Horrible. Never works. Connects on manually (older app opened AUTOMATICALLY) but this keyboard doesn't evencwirk! Its useless!!

Hot garbage. Don’t even bother.

Never reliably connects (or remains connected) to the Apple TV. I am then forced to use the original remote which is seemingly unusable.
