Used to work but doesn't anymore

This used to work beautifully, but a few months ago it claimed to not be on the same WiFi as my appleTV, which wasn't the case. There was no way provided to correct the issue, either. The app also indicates that iphone 6 is compatible, but maybe it's actually not ?♂️
Doesn’t work if remote is already lost

Why can’t you make the 4 digits appear on apple tv then we can type the 4 digits on the phone? It doesn’t work the other way around if you already lost the remote.

This is an amazing app for an Apple TV I have been using this for about 3 years sense I broke my remote the controls are amazing but there is 1 thing I am conserd about why no volume button ?
Just give us buttons!!!
Make America 2008 Again
The directional trackpad for this app is unresponsive, unreliable and extremely frustrating to use. I challenge you to reliably scroll through a menu using the interface provided with this app. Why can’t Apple just give us a remote app with up, down, left and right buttons, like we have on the actual remote control that came with our Apple TV!!! You can do much better than this Apple.

Volume control used to work a year ago just by pressing the volume controls on your iPhone, now this feature doesn’t work anymore. I hate when I loose my remote and can’t even control the volume by my the app anymore. Apple you need to fix this.
