I’m in deep in the Apple ecosystem and have been for decades. It really is close to love, or deep gratitude, I feel for how how all this stuff has enriched my life. So it is hard to express my disappointment with the Remote app. It was so easy. I kept my phone in my pocket and whenever we sat down to watch something, it just worked. This app added so much value to my setup. Only now it doesn’t work, at all. Every time the app loses connection to the Apple TV, that’s it, delete the Apple TV within the app, restart the Apple TV, add it back, use it for a while, then do it all over again. The message boards are replete with the same stories. It’s a real problem. I’m not crazy. Hopefully they’ll fix it soon, but who knows. It feels like Apple’s commitment to quality has fallen off lately. I hope they get their groove back.

I like this app but i just try to manage my apple tv 4 and just don’t se it I delete the app restart my phone and dont work

After updating to iOS 11.2.5, the Apple TV Remote in the Control Panel And this downloaded App Does Not Work... It will Pair with my iPhone 7, it shows up under devices on my Apple TV 4K and will even allow me to use the keyboard on my phone, but try to get to the controls? ...... SEARCHING....... SEARCHING..... SEARCHING......... Never finds the Apple TV.

Remote app will consistently crash when I try to pair with TV (right after step where you enter in the 4 digit code). After that the app shows my Apple TV as not connected and I get message to check if it’s turned on or on same WiFi network (both are true).

Works well but missing one key....

I like it it works well especially since you can add it to your control center so you don’t even have to open your phone to go to the app and it does everything the remote does but one single thing... And mine just like everyone else’s apple remote broke after a while. Weird it just stopped working like everything did but the volume button and thank god for that because the app doesn’t allow you to control the volume of the tv. I really hope there’s an update that could change that be till then I just gotta use the apple remote and my phone witch is no worries just hope apple sees this and hooks it up!!!!!!!! ???????????

This app used to just work just like a lot of apple stuff but sadly this is not the case anymore.
