I’ve had my investment account for nearly a year. Better than the free trading us if u ever need to call about transferrin g money from one account to another or other questions- - a real live person answers the phone- here in the US! Their customer service is wonderful AAA. But.... they wouldn’t give me a $10,000 car loan— credit score too low ... bummer.

Can't deposit checks

Updated to newest version and the app always crashes after taking pictures of your check to cash. Please fix as it makes it hard since it is an online bank. On iphone 11 version 14.0.1 app version 6.23

Hit or miss with deposits

I have been having problems trying to deposit checks. When taking pictures of the checks the phone freezes when it tries to rotate the view. This causes a force quit and is random when it occurs.

TouchID is not working, what a pain in the a**. I have to type my password in every time and it doesn't even save in the OS. A good mobile banking experience is why I ditched PNC for Ally, but this is starting to irk me. Devs please fix this. UPDATE October 2020: Everything is fixed and I love that you can connect accounts from other institutions to see balances.

PUSH NOTIFICATIONS FROM APP IS A MUST

Ally is a wonderful bank, but the app is just very boring. Perhaps a nice vibrant design, and push notifications anytime money is deposited would draw in even more people to this wonderful service. 5 stars if I received push notifications announcing direct deposits.

No card controls?

Having to use another app, Ally Card Controls, to manage the basic functionality of my checking account’s debit card, is incredibly frustrating. I discovered today that you can’t even access Card Controls alone - you have to use the original Ally app to access Card Controls. ?????

I’ve been with Ally for a few years now and have quite a few accounts with them. The customer service has been pretty good up until the last year or so (pre-pandemic). Not sure what happened here. Anywho, their high interest Savings account has been on the decline for the past couple months. Each time I’m due a payout, the interest rate conveniently decreases right before. Literally like a day before. I’m now unable to deposit checks into my account. The app keeps freezing. What’s going on Ally?! 2020 Pre-election woes...

Unimpressed; Ally isn’t as special as you think

Enjoying Ally, but I can tell this bank doesn’t meet the hype. With interest rates down to nearly nothing, there is nothing to differentiate Ally from the brick and mortar banks. As such, I’m really just bored with Ally and will be switching as soon as I find a better interest rate.
