Decent fun, by flawed PVP

Stark&Mrkisuke

The game is a decent game to play if you just want something you can come to 1-2 a day. They provide tutorials so you can learn basic stats when laying siege and some nice challenge sieges. However, the pvp-esk aspect of the game when you lay siege on another player's castle and visa-versa needs improvement. There were times when I'm attacked by someone who is half my rank, but then another time I'm attack by someone 10x my rank. I've also been frequently attacked by players in the age above me. It's a major issue that needs a fix so that you only ever combat those of your relative level. Due to this issue, getting upgrades becomes a long process as you loose resources each time you're attacked, and the later ages have very high upgrade costs. It's somewhat mitigated by the daily gold earnings, but typically only for closing the last few 10,000 or so gap which even then it'll typically deplete all your gold. Do not pay real money for gold, it is not that effective.

Disappointed!!!...

Just Don't

Hayfieldlee

Once you play for a short period of time it becomes obvious that you can't continue to enjoy the game without constantly spending a bunch of money or starring at a screen of upgrading buildings for literally DAYS. I could have played the old school AOE for countless hours but this game would require spending hundreds of dollars, no joke. It was kind of fun but impossible to enjoy past the initial phase. I'd pay a good deal one time fee just to buy the old computer game and be able to play it on iPad.

Impossible to do well without spending major $$$$

Vincereestvivere

This game is fun and competitive until you reach the 6th age. The crown system is lopsided and makes it impossible to do well or rank without spending a lot of money. You get attacked and you lose 14 crowns, but then you can never fight enough battles against competitive enough opponents to win more than two crowns at a time - and better win because it costs you 5-9 crowns when you lose. On top of all this you have to wait soooo long to build or upgrade anything- literally days and weeks. I played up until age 6 and then it just stopped being fun. The original AOE games were fun - this game is just a money trap.

Truly strategic war game

Witopo

Good graphic, gameplay but alliance war is needed

Like so much.

Claw-X

It's like age of empires lol.

Consume Lots of Battery Power

Empire of Nusantara

I like the games so much. However the app consume battery power too much. Playing 1.5 hours not non stop took 30-45% battery. 48 minutes on screen playing took 24%!!! Crazy!!!!!!! It made my phone hot and hotter.

Hated it!

I'm a huge age of empires fan, but this version sucked majorly. My biggest issue was the nonstop tutorial. The old version was better. I was given a basic plot of land and allowed to build my empire. I will never download anything from this company again. I've been a customer since 1999, but now you've lost. If you like age of empires, don't play this game.

Starts out fun, gets tedious and frustrating

bobdobbs1999

This game went from being fun to horrible really quickly. There are two general aspects to the game: building your castle and attacking others. At first you can build things relatively quickly, but then it takes a long time to build or upgrade anything -- 2 to 3 days -- unless you buy Gold. Fine, they need to make money, I get it. But the attacking others part is where it soon gets unbearable. The game "matches" you with other opponents, based on some mysterious algorithm. After a while ALL opponents it matches had MUCH more advanced castle than my units are capable of defeating. You can "skip" an opponent by expending food, but they just keep showing you the same set of opponents, even if you expend food! That's right -- skip an opponent by expending your resources, and you will see it again after you skip two others! Haha, jokes on you! I'm done with this game. Don't bother!

Game won't start

I don't like one thing

Sometimes when it's logging into the gamecenter it won't budge. Otherwise good game. But fix this problem, I haven't been able to play all day.
