I was encouraged via email to check out information about me that was determined by my genetics. Oddly, I was given an age range based in decades through the 60’s. I am 73. Also, there was a scale suggesting that my wake-up time was close to 6:30am. There was a scale available to put in my typical wake-up time, but it did not provide any choice below 6am. All in all, completely off.

I paid over $100 for the dna test kit but the app refuses to let me make an account so I can register my kit. What is going on?

I think this info is hard to understand and I don’t feel like I know anything new from the info. It’s disappointing to me. The information is generic and I haven’t found any new relatives only lots of dna matches but it’s hard to understand how to contact them and I was hoping this would tell me how I am related to people.

When I first started 23andme 5-6 years ago, the heritage details were very detailed. Now, unless I pay more money the details are not available.

I can’t keep this app installed. Whoever decided to add social messaging features without an easy ability to delete or block people is a poor product manager. I can’t open the app with being reminded of some creepy person who is related to me. Even with the info I get, it’s not worth the grief. Gross and irresponsible app design.
