YouTube has come a long way. But I hate all the pop ups trying to get me to download all the other ten million YouTube apps you’ve got. Also, I understand the need for money, but 12.99 for YouTube Red seems like a ripoff to me. Especially when the only reason I’d wanna subscribe to it is to have background play. The content of YouTube Red is a joke in itself. At least give us an option for a cheaper background play or something. Hell I’d pay you 5.99 a month just for that ability. Thank you for your time. Love you ?

I wish I’d read other reviews on this latest version before updating. So frustrated D: Managing playlists isn’t properly functioning anymore. You can only swipe to remove a single track at a time. To do multiple, you’ve got to go in and out of the playlists. I have playlists with over 200 songs and this is nooot okay. That alone has seriously impacted my YouTube (Red!) experience. Please fix ASAP. [EDIT: I found a shortcut where you don’t have to exit and return to the playlist to remove or select the vertical ... for another vid. Once you remove a vid, move another one up and down in the playlist. This somehow “unlocks” interaction. Still an annoying bug.] Also my downloaded playlists don’t run well. Unbearable unresponsiveness. Oh and sporadically it isn’t going on to just play the next vid regardless if the app is open on screen or running in background. It pauses in between?? So I have to individually hit play. And even then touching play will unresponsively lag, and I’ll try exiting the app and restarting with mixed success. If these occurrences are because there should be a limit to how much is downloaded, then please impose a limit. I’d rather the reasonable restriction than my blood pressure rising at failed attempts to play between vids. I wind up either rage quitting entirely or switching to the data sucking version of the playlist. I’m not getting good use of my paid YouTube Red features. Also please add the ability to loop. And it’d be great to see if and which the vid is already on playlists like on the website. When I’m browsing I wind up adding unwanted duplicates or thinking I already had a song on a playlist when I don’t. It’d be so helpful to be able to check. I’d been such a fan of YouTube Red for over a year, but my experience is becoming increasingly negative. Please help.

So I often put videos in my watch later so I can just binge, right? Well after watching the video, I’ll delete it from the list. After deleting it, the app will crash and I have to close out of it completely because I can’t click on anything anymore

The app will most of the time go complete grey and black. And never connects to Bluetooth like it should and will sometimes will not play a video but still play the audio while the video is frozen.
Huge bug when removing from watch later

If you remove a video from watch later, you have to scroll to the top of the list and refresh in order to remove or play any videos that were visible in the watch later list when you removed a video.

Okay. Watching videos, Uploading small videos, the layout, and the notifications are all good. However; when I al trying to upload larger videos my app freezes and ultimately crashes. So if you get this app do not expect to upload large videos.
