Youtube has decided to jump on the codependency bandwagon by taking away users’ right to easily indicate to other users their dislike of a video. Youtube has decided to publicly erase users’ awareness that there are other users out there that share a similar dislike for content that may be poorly produced, factually incorrect. Youtube has decided to create the illusion that everyone is liked. Youtube has decided that public dissent by numbers should have no platform.
Less Transparent Than Ever

The removal of dislike views has gotten YouTube into a worse situation. I can no longer tell if a video is misleading, spam, or has trash quality overall. This move seems to benefit large corporations, YouTube creators with low quality content, and corrupt politicians the most, as there is less transparency between the video data and the viewer. This review will stand as is until YouTube reinstates the dislike count.
Fullscreen doesn't work half of the time

Have to constantly force close the app to get fullscreen to work. Happens when going from another app (Apollo) to youtube.

Wrote a review in the past about how the new location for comments doesn’t make sense - that review still stands. Now with the playlists, what’s the point of hiding unavailable videos? It’d be better to just have an option to automatically delete unavailable videos rather than having a permanent “unavailable videos are hidden” banner. If it’s unavailable, I can’t watch the video, and if I can’t watch the video I’d like for it to be easily removed. Make it make sense.

There is plenty of room on iPad to display comments and suggested videos while a vid is playing. I am less engaged with comments now b/c they are not automatically displayed. SMDH. Please put the comments back where they were.
