Guyyysss!!! I used to have a lot of crash and issues with this app... is simple!!! Turn on the airplane mode in your devise, turn off any Bluetooth and only turn on your wifi. Connect to your camera WiFi ( I use the WU-1a adapter ) and you can download with no issues at all!!!!! Fast downloading too!!

The app was difficult to use even back when anyone was developing for it. Two years ago. Back in iOS 12. Sometime between then and iOS 14 it quit working. The shutter will no longer release using the app. Useless.

This app worked great when I first got my camera but the last year it keeps disconnecting or the download of photos never begins . Troubleshooting I have tried : Updated iOS software, checked for app updates(none in years ) deleted the app and reinstalled issue persisted. Issue resulted in transferring via SD card which defeats the purpose of buying this particular camera .

I don't know what problem others are having, but this app was a lifesaver. I wanted to share pics immediately and it worked flawlessly. I fixed l connected to the cameras WiFi without any problem and downloaded the images quickly to my phone so I could share photos immediately without having to go home and connect the camera to a laptop.

I if I could I would give this app a ZERO, This app no longer works on iPhone XR with iOS 14.6. It used to work in the field. On iPad 11 pro with iOS iPad 14.6 it works All settings on D7200 camera are identical. Settings on iPhone XR seem to be ok per YouTube instructions. Also, WMU on iPhone previously worked. Now screen is frozen on WMU except the WiFi symbol on top left shows when connected to camera. The settings on upper right of WMU is frozen. I have asked for Nikon Support re this issue three separate times. No response. Am I going to have to junk the iPhone XR and D7200. I do not want to carry iPad into the field! I want to use the iPhone WMU with my D7200. I have been on help line with Apple Care. They said there is no problem with my phone. Ultimately, the WMU app does not work on iPhone XR.

Used to work ok with issues here and there, now I can’t get pictures to download at all. Loses connection to the camera constantly.

This app has never worked for me. So slow and just freezes. Completely useless which is a shame given it’s the only way to shoot through your phone with this model (D3200).

ive had my nikon for years and the app was easy and functional however now it doesn’t even work at all…now i have to download pictures from my sd card to my computer then onto my phone…too chaotic and ruins the initial quality of the photo.

It’s painfully clear that Nikon abandoned WMU once SnapBridge was released. Originally, WMU worked really well, but it looks as though Nikon may have even sabotaged WMU once they released SnapBridge. Maybe if SnapBridge had actually worked, no one would’ve minded. But SnapBridge has never lived up to its promises.
