Registration

VreRider

I got the error "something bad has happened" when I tried to register. I noticed that for your birthday it only wants month and year, e.g. 011980. I had put in my full birthday and that's why I got the error. It let me register after I fixed it. I haven't gotten tickets yet (I will be allocating SmartBenefits) so we'll see how that goes.

Cannot create account?

ILikeCheesyButtholes

Tried numerous times unsuccessfully to create an account. Keep getting error messages - states "something bad has happened". Should have tested before releasing to the public. Poor job VRE!

Long way to go

This app is very buggy. I can't even create an account. It doesn't have 1/10th the features that other privately developed apps do. If it can't do something it displays VRE's home web page, which is primitive as well. The main web site is not device aware and with today's UI frameworks that is unacceptable. VRE not a good first effort. Rather embarrassing actually. If you hired an outside firm to do both your website and this app, FIRE them immediately. Then hire a company that has knowledge of modern frameworks and technology. Don't hire the insiders buddy's company or family member.

Could be better

Buggy and Passbook would be nice since most tickets apps supports Passbook. Unlocking your phone then digging through my apps to find the app then once you find the app you must dig through the app menu to find the tickets, not convenient only thing this app help is when you're running late for the train and don't have enough time for the kiosk machine then and only then the app is very convenient. I wasn't able to create an account with the app but was able to on the website.

Works for me, just registered

KingPimp!

I was reading some reviews that people can't register. I was able to. The only thing I had to enter twice was the birthdate which was in mm/yyyy format which you can't see when you're filling it out. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. They're a .org cut them some slack. That being said, I have never rode VRE before because I don't work in the city but I'll probably use it next time I go there for a day.

Touchdown !!!!

Stevie500_

Great app !!! Very easy to create an account. Just slowdown and pay attention 2 details. Dev Team missed extra point 4sure in regards to passbook. Ticket animation needs a created touch. Example show speed of train. Then adjust animation with current speed reported. Bigger picture No more paper tickets as well good bye kiosk a joy ! Step up ticket works as well. Job well done.

Two things

•Ray•

Two things: add commuter direct support so the 90% of ppl who ride VRE actually use this because they are almost all gov and use CD. And add passbook support for ticket offline access. I know it's a new app and you're probably already working on this. Thanks.

Problems fixed quickly!

Asc2015

Earlier this month, the app failed to split my payment between my SmartBenefits and a credit card. I contacted customer service and found them to be very cordial and responsive. They refunded my purchase and promptly fixed the problem with the app. I am not only impressed with VRE's customer service and mobile app developers, but also very pleased with the convenience that the app provides: no more losing my paper tickets!

Perfect companion app

I am a newbie VRE rider but stared using the mobile app immediately. The purchasing process (single payer CC in my case) works quickly and intuitively. The ticket purchasing options and pricing are clear. Ticket validation and usage/display is cute and easy to do. Would be awesome to have be app default to opening an active ticket instead of having to manually select it, but I believe that a future update will have this functionality. I am frankly stunned to see almost 0 people using it in my daily rides.
