The system is great and the clarity is nice. But the mobile app has many bugs, had to delete and re-install at least three times in a week. Their tech dept. needs a better developer for this application.

We love that we can set the panel from the bedroom at night. We are able to put on the motion sensors and have no delay on the entrances without having to run through the house at night after the panel is set. We have had this feature for three weeks now and it is a very nice convenience.

I am so happy with the entire service. My cameras, alarm system, door bell etc were all set up perfectly! I feel safer now that we have this system installed. While at work my husband and I keep an eye on our two year old and six year old daughters at home with nanny. I definitely sleep better at night and I feel secure when I am away from home. I recommend this system to all.

The worst mistake I have ever done

I signed up for this alarm 3 months ago and although they sold me a dream it has become a nightmare. This does not work. I have had nothing but issues with this alarm and have had to have someone come out numerous times in order to attempt to fix an issue. Every time they fix something another thing stops working. It seems like every time you call their technical support they are guessing on what the issue might be. They make me go through hoops and the issues still persist. I really wish I never signed up with them but now I’m stuck in a contract. I’m warning everyone to stay away from this alarm company they are the worst. Im a very dissatisfied customer. Jorge Rios

The service barely works and the contract is far too long! Don’t waste your money and especially don’t call customer service just to realize the woman helping on the phone has her baby in her arms that starts crying. These people are a joke and literally when the system could be alerting emergency units, the call is simply being sent to random at home operators who answer and then decide whether to call 911 for you. Go to Lowe’s and buy your own door locks and sensors- save the headache the money

No face ID support

Previously, on my iPhone 7 plus, I had the option of using touch ID to unlock the app. Now that I have the iPhone X, there is no security in place to keep the app from opening. How do you update the app for iPhone X but not include face ID support?

App is great when system functions correctly

We absolutely love the app when the Vivint system is functioning correctly. Mainly the video doorbell constantly stops working and the Sky Panel has to be rebooted to get the video functioning again which is very annoying. Technicians have been out several times, get it working only for it to stop working again sometimes hours, days or weeks later. My guess is that the Skye panel itself may need updating because my internet/WiFi works excellently. Only this time, the video is working on the Sky Panel but not on the app. So this issue may be a problem with the app. Also, we have a 2nd indoor camera that never worked after the technicians left our home. It may stay on 30 mins or less then goes offline. I think that Vivint needs to update all video components to their system. The remaining components are stable and works perfectly. We receive a lot of package deliveries which is why we need the video doorbell to work consistently. We love the system but may consider switching to a different company that can offer comparable services on a more stable system.

Few glitches but resolved quickly

We had some difficulty syncing users right after install but they sent a technician out the next day and he worked hard and got it resolved. It’s been working perfect since. It’s an amazing system that has allowed the whole family to feel safe and secure with the convenience of operating the home from our phones. Would highly recommend.

We love the app and the system. Everything has worked flawlessly after installation. I like that the app sends notifications when activity is detected at home. Arming and disarming the system via the app is easy, because the interface is exactly like the keypad inside the home. In all other respects, the App functions and looks just like the keypad. Bravo Vivint! Job well done!

With all the new IOS updates flowing out been having major issue getting the app to function from my phone. Lots of issues arming the alarm. Would be 5 stars if it had functioning software
