Worst app ever! 1 hour to scan QR code...still can’t get it to connect. Should have just called pest control from the start.

It doesn’t work at all the mouse got in and out and it didn’t do anything really old ways are the best and if I had less than 1/4 star I would rate the app

So far I had no problems getting my traps added, but the only time they check in is when I first power the units on. I have no idea where the battery power is actually at because without an event there is no update. So it’s WiFi signal strength is only when you first powered it on, same with the battery level. After it’s powered on no more health updates except for I assume if it catches something. Just push the power button off on the trap and you’ll notice absolutely no change in the status of the trap, it pretends it’s still online and working as expected. Disappointing...

Bye bye Rat in 5 hours.

Installed the trap around noon, wore the gloves, used a tiny dab of peanut butter and an “attractant” I got at Home Depot. From the app, it’s not that clear whether the trap is armed or not. The next morning, I saw the red dot the trap had caught something at 5pm so it was only a couple of hours before it caught the rat. Since this is an electronic product, it’s just a little bit more code to add a schedule for on and off. For fruit trees out back, I’d like the trap to go on at night for the rats, and off during the day so it doesn’t kill the squirrels. Perhaps someday with AI they’ll create a smart trap that has species recognition so it will only kill the critters you set it for. For now this trap worked well in the attic.

Be patient, it works!

First month in service and it caught one rat. After a year, it caught three rats in a week! So be patient and move it around. I would recommend adding to the functionality of the App. Thanks

The trap did not connect to my router

I carefully followed the instructions many times but the trap never connected to my WiFi router despite being 3 feet away from the router. I tried all of the steps under CONNECTION HELP for failed connections and it still failed to connect. I’m returning this device tomorrow. I also find it very objectionable that nowhere on the box does it say that you have to create an account with Victor. In fact, even the instructions don’t say anything about creating an account. It’s not until the app prompts you to log in that it becomes clear.

No reset button

The trap reports a rodent caught but there is nothing in the trap. Trying to reset the trap is impossible. Why isn’t there a simple feature that allows me to reset it myself if the trap is indeed empty?

What a pain to set up

Well spent about an hour banging my head against a wall trying to set this. I had almost given up and thought it just was not compatible with my WiFi. I have the eero mesh WiFi which is 2.4 and 5ghz and on reading all the complaints about connection issues and it only works on 2.4ghz I assumed that must be the issue. Sometimes it would see the network and I would go through the setup but it always failed to connect. Sometimes it would not see my network which is odd because it is a really strong signal throughout the house. Finally I sat the trap on top of the WiFi router and it actually connected. I moved to the location I set it and it was still connected according to the app. The two stars is just for the pain it was to set it up. I will give it some time to see how it works and how the notification works and update my review and rating. update 1 After several hours I have no idea if the trap is actually able to connect and send notifications as it does not even have some sort of ping function. When I look at the status it just shows it as of when I first connected the trap.
