i’ve check bluetooth on wifi on and both are on 3.x version but can’t connect to my mac

Yikes. I was a beta tester in MacID so I go way back with this app. I was trying to install in an older machine and asked a technical question about an artificial limitation designed to make sure people pay for the accompanying iOS app. Dev said it’s there “bc I don’t work for free”. Wrong answer. I’m a paying customer. But he doesn’t see the difference. Oh well. This app is redundant anyway. Buh bye.

I had used the earlier version briefly but found it unreliable even 6 inches from my MBPro. This is not much better. Auto lock and unlock don’t work at all and the login works 80-90% of the time when I’m seated at the machine.

MacID - now I know why it doesn’t work!

I’ve tried many similar apps, but this is the first that I’ve been satisfied with. First, it just works! Others I’ve tried have annoying bugs. Second, the interface couldn’t be easier to use. I was set up in minutes. Finally, what’s most impressive is how the iPhone and the Mac work so seamlessly; it’s almost if they were one machine! In sum, this was $4.00 well spent for the extra peace of mind and security you get. I highly recommend it!

Bought MacID several years ago. I know Unlox is a rewritten app but I still paid for upgrade, everything is same old good. Except one thing, like almost any other popular app, Unlox is not perfect for small screen iPhone SE. I don’t such big font to display my MBP’ name, I want it small enough to show the full name.

Ugly and unreliable

The new app is so ugly. Useless settings and unnecessary features. Color schemes are way to vibrant and bright for a utility app. It’s unusable - constantly asking me to unlock my Mac or just being disconnected all together (no macs connected). The Mac app is also unstable and I had to force quit it because it was freezing up the menu bar. I wish I could use macID but I got a new iPhone with faceID. It was a superior app in both design and functionality.
