Blending

Mega boom 3 and the original Boom seem not to enjoy the software.

Always on = always out of battery

iMathew!

Please allow users to deactivate the always on power feature! It used to be a toggle in the app. My speakers are constantly losing battery for a feature that I can live without. Reaching physically for my speaker is faster than going into the app to turn it on anyway. Is it too much to ask?! I regret ever updating the internal software.

I wanted to get this app for my boom speaker but the app didn’t work for that speaker type so they definitely need to make an update or a new app of the boom speaker.

What a system!

I have two of the blast speakers and I am very impressed. I purchased these at least a year ago and misplaced them. Well I found them and set them up this evening. I had no directions so I went to the website and downloaded the app, followed the directions and after locating the tiny Bluetooth button was able to update and link them to both the Bluetooth and my Wi-Fi. The process is very similar to setting up any of the Alexis devices, connect with Bluetooth then use the phone app to connect with the home Wi-Fi network. I grouped the two speakers and used my voice to access my Amazon music account. The sound is fantastic, especially considering the size. Amazing. It also works with the kindle ebook apps I have on my iPhone 11 and my iPads. I live having my books read to me. These speakers sound fantastic when logged into my Wi-Fi mesh network. The eq works and I think these are outstanding speakers. I will try out the music just from the Bluetooth another day. I will probably use that to play then in my van or for patio parties and such. I love these things. I’m planning on ordering the charging bases so I can use these a portable stereo system. I’ll update after I try the Bluetooth out. I will not say this was the easiest pair of speakers I’ve ever set up but considering I had not directions it wasn’t too bad. I’m guessing others might have had problems due to upgrades or using the wrong version of the phone app. It looks like you can change the names as well which will be very helpful. Great speakers.

Total crap

What a complete failure of a app. Always locks up . Features don’t work

This app is not as good as the previous ones

Sad to say.... I do not like this app, have had issues keeping both UE Booms connected in stereo - they both have the latest software - disappointed! Bought a pair of JBL Charge 4’s - they play in stereo and have much better bass than the UE’s

Useless

This app is useless, I rarely ever use it unless I need to check the battery life. It says my speaker is unavailable but it’s on and connected to my phone playing music. Disconnected the speaker and deleted the app and restarted it and still can’t connect the speaker to the app.

READ MY FIRST REVIEW!!!!

First time writing a review in my short 20 years spent on this planet. You might as well buy a new speaker like a jbl partybox or a big Sony one with loud sound. Jbl has better speakers that are portable as well. This app is so annoying you might as well walk to your speaker and turn it on or you’ll be stressed pressing your iPhone for 1-5 minutes for it to load up and play music. Battery is the worst trash ever they shouldn’t be able to advertise 14 hours cause mine dies in 2 on full blast which isn’t even that loud. Then takes way more than 2 hours to charge so don’t bother with this garbage app and get your refund ASAP. 0 stars from this review 1 star for apple.

Terrible software and charger

ThisIsAlreadyNicknameCreated

Constantly have issues with this speaker’s charger and software. For the charger the included wall wort is useless and should be thrown away promptly. It has some “smarts” to it that adjusts power consumption and charge rate. Ultimately it ends up not charging the speaker consistently. The software troubles don’t stop there though. It’s proprietary UA app always wants to take control of the device. It constantly drops a standard Bluetooth connection and yells at you about using a “feature” which is nothing you are even trying to do it just makes it up out of the blue on a whim. Sometimes 5x a song sometimes not that day. It is infuriating and makes me want to throw the speaker at a wall. The only redeeming quality is the sound quality. If I had not already spent 200 on it I would just use something else. Save your money and buy another device.

This used to be a great app

Somehow, my phone thinks the battery level of the speaker is low. Keeps shutting it down. I used to have a great system set up. Now I just want to throw it all out! Says I need an update. Links they provide go nowhere. Been that way a long time. Get it together, man. The speakers are GREAT and your app is making them useless!
