The app is getting worse

"JUST DO IT"

Bought 3 Boom 2’s a year ago and once I updated the software on the speakers everything worked great. I could party all of the speakers up and they all connected and I could see the names of each one. Now recently in the party up feature it doesn’t give the name of the speakers so I can pick and choose which ones I want to connect. It just says Boom 2. When I am picking a host speaker I can see the names. Now it also seems to be skipping more often when using the party up feature. The host speaker seems okay but the auxiliary speakers skip around. This app is becoming pretty much worthless. I was planning on buying additional speakers because I could connect them all through the app but now I am seriously reconsidering! I would be happy to increase the star rating but please fix these issues as soon as possible or I may just end up going with another brand!

Controlling EQ is nice but app has an annoying glitch

Timothy Kaldas

The equalizer is helpful for getting the right sound out of your speaker but the app appears to interrupt play at times when switching between apps on your phone. I deleted the app and the problem went away. My phone's memory is pretty full so perhaps this is less of an issue with phones with less strain on their memory but for me this was an annoying problem. I'll reinstall when I want to adjust the equalizer and immediately delete again.

Worked for a while

Worked for the first week or 2 that I had my new Hyperboom. Now the app won’t recognize that I’ve connected to the speaker via Bluetooth. App is essentially worthless.

Doesn’t work

bonenail

I generally don’t write reviews but feel compelled to do so now. I’ve had my mega boom 3 for 2 years and have enjoyed many hours of music with it..BUT.. now after upgrading the app my mega boom app cannot find my speaker on my Bluetooth connection even when the Bluetooth shows that it’s on showing the mega boom box connection.. the app is totally flawed, full of bugs and just doesn’t work. I want my speaker to work like it did on the previous app. I wouldn’t that recommend anybody buy anything mega boom until this fatal app flaw is fixed... give me back my music!

Fix it

David Rainer

Can you guys please please please fix this app??? I have purchased three of your UE Boom 2 speakers for my shop and they sometimes speed up the music for a bit and also make nasty distortion crackly sounds and cut out and it is horrible. They work 70% of the time but definitely have issues and a lot of users say older versions of the software worked much better.

Worst app ever

Joan Jett Fan

This thing is so buggy and inconsistent now that it just constantly locks up. Did you have this app developed overseas? Can I roll back to the last version that this problem did not exist. Do you actually perform beta testing? I don’t think so or you can just care less about your customers that you just throw the revised code out there? Right now, I can turn on one speaker and when I go to Party Up it shows my other 4 speakers but the app hangs and I am unable to add the other speakers. Please make this a priority fix and have Americans do the coding. You get what you pay for in most cases. I spent a lot of money on all these speakers and can’t even use them now.

Party up mode don’t work

hahhdhdb

I can’t pair my megaboom and ue boom together.

Bluetooth????

Ya Bum

I’m currently playing music on my speakers but the app keeps saying I need to allow access to Bluetooth on it...newsflash...that’s not even an option in the app settings on my iPhone.

Horrible at best

product19

The app is simple but a challenge. Before I bought my second Megaboom 3 I had issues at times connecting my Megaboom 2. I just bought Megaboom 3, added it to the app, to run “party” Stereo, Double - the app at many times loses connection to one of the speakers, them that blows up your other connection to the other speaker. At best you have to shut down and manually turn off all your speakers then relaunch. The sound for “double” & “stereo” would be great if it worked and didn’t have the cracking on the 2nd speaker you’re adding. It’s a connectivity issue - app is most frustrating than helpful and that’s too bad I might return the 3 because I got it to wirelessly connect my music from room-to-room.

What happened to DJ mode?

3838718187

I loved this speaker because my friends and I could trade DJ duties in the app. This feature has disappeared. It makes it very difficult to share the speaker with those who don’t have the app. Very disappointing to see the speaker getting WORSE with updates.
