Idk if you’ve been seeing my reviews in here, but if not I guess it’s just a nice coincidence that every issue I’ve brought up has been addressed almost immediately in an update. I love using the app as an instructor. Thank you.

Does not work with my iPad

Update is forced and the app only supports ipadOS 13. My iPad supports only up to ipad OS 12.

Absolute waste of money and time due to BAD SUPPORT SERVICE. Do not purchase. I purchased 2 courses from Udemy. Both disappeared after I corrected my user name. I corrected the user name as I was trying to watch the course in my IPAD while I followed along on my laptop. The courses disappeared off my IPAD after the user name correction, but Now I cannot get into my courses on my laptop or my IPad. I am not be able to get help. Udemy keeps sending me an automated response when I try to contact them for help. I’ve already looked through all the automated help articles and none of the articles fix my problem. In all reality, Udemy should not force customer to research numerous articles to trouble shoot problems as this can eat up a great deal of the customers time, and should offer a 1-800 trouble shooting help number. So I’ve wasted a lot of time and a significant amount of money.

They cheat you on refunding

Refunding is using dark patterns to screw you. So when you refund, you will get Udemy credits. When you buy a course again, you will not be able to use those credits. They will not tell you this in the UI. Hence, you will get charged again. What a lame way to get more money out of hard working consumers.

Courses are fine, the app is garbage. When you attempt to download an entire course the app freezes up after 5-6 lectures have downloaded then you must exit the app, reopen and try downloading another 5-6 lectures. When you’ve got 500+ lectures can you see how this would get annoying fast?

Problem with full section

I’ve recently run into a problem with a huge course through the mobile app only. Whenever I first open up the app, it gets through most of the sections in tact until about the 15-20th section, and then ends up only displaying one video for the rest of the sections, but those videos are from different sections somehow. After a while of being on one course it tends to switch all the videos for every section to a new section. What I mean is all the videos for section 15 are now in section 1 for some reason, please fix this - I love to use this app and this does not happen on the website, so I’d love to be able to fit time in to learn everything I can from Udemy!

Love the site but please fix your app

I love learning from udemy, but please fix the app. I’ve experienced videos not playing, sound messing up, lectures not downloading, and these issues are only occurring on tablets. Fix these bugs and I will reinstall the app. I’ve wasted so much time with these app bugs. I really enjoy sitting in a tea shop and learning, so please make that happen again, Udemy. Update (2/28/22): I reinstalled the app just to give this another chance and I noticed another issue with this app. It seems to really heat up my tablet too. Forgot to mention that in my previous review. Again, love Udemy, just not a fan of the app.
