It’s not accurate at all...

Charlie_GQ

I’ve been trying to figure this out for 45 minutes. It says my dog is 700 meters away but the tracker is less than 20 feet away! I’m going out of town and was hoping this would bring me peace of mind. NOPE! Now, even if I do use it, it could be off my almost half a mile.. I might not even use it if this is how inaccurate it’ll be. I’d understand a few meters. 10 or even 20. Not a big deal at. 700 meters? Not so much! Really frustrated and it’s just adding to the stress of going out of town.

Several things: 1) I took the device on an errand to test it. Although the history feature accurately showed where I had been, it did not text alert me that I had left the virtual fence until 90 minutes after I left. 2) While the device was on my desk, the history tracker somehow thought tracked it going about 150 yards away. 3) The collar clip is risky. A good rollover in the grass and the device would come off. 4) The virtual fence I created disappeared for no reason. So I guess it could never alert me that my dog has escaped the property. 5) There is no phone support. Only chat with 1 business day response.

Not having monthly billing option is not cool.

Not reliable at all

My dog is deaf, so I got this tracker for when he gets lost. I lost my dog in a park with clear skies, the device was reporting that he was in the middle of the park for about 30mins, I spent a lot of time by that area trying to find him. I ended up finding my dog by myself walking in between the traffic by the middle of a road while the device was still reporting the same area at more than 200m from where he was.

It works very well but....

I have been using Tractive for about 6 months to track my whippets when they are off leash. I had used another tracker previously and it was junk. Tractive works. It connects quickly and the active tracking keeps track of my dogs even when they are running 30-40km hour. The battery is ok for me because we take the trackers off at home, it’s only for free runs (about one hour a day) in the woods (just in case). So I only need to charge the trackers a couple times a week and that’s ok for me. The only issue I have had is the attachment clips. We have lost the trackers several times now. As they are activated for “active tracking” I have been able to find them (using the beeping noise) but it’s NOT easy in the forest! Usually takes about an hour. I’m down to my last clips now, if I lose one I guess I will need to buy more? Please give a better solution for the clips. Thanks.

My dog is a runner

After she escaped the dog park and was gone for 2 days, we decided to get her a GPS Tracker. The app works with the tracker, shows us where she is and where she has been. Also shows the battery level of the tracker on her collar.

Makes me feel better

I like the fact that I can find her if she gets out. Have a fully fenced in yard but she got out one time. The tracker makes me feel comfortable if I let her out to enjoy her yard and I don’t have to watch her. I work from home and she likes to go out and i can’t watch her all the time. This way I work and don’t worry. The exact location of the fence is off. I get a notice she left boundary yet she is sitting next to me. I’ll gladly take a false alarm instead of losing her.

Not happy

Lost tracker in a couple of weeks. Short battery life makes very inconvenient! So not happy!
