“User-Hostile” is an apt description. I start my car and go driving. Some time after I am on the road, the “app” requests that I sign in with username and password. I have already used touch ID to use the phone, but no matter. If you want to use the features Toyota promised, pull over and “log in,” Don’t bother.

On one hand, it’s good to see that many others share my frustration with how poorly the Entune app works, and how every week or so, it requires another login. On the other hand, I expect more from Toyota, listen to your customers who are dropping $40k or more on new vehicles. The new Tacoma is great, but Entune is a weak, frustrating app.

This app is absolutely useless. it kicks me out all the time, and I have to put my full email address and password to get in. I just bought my brand new car few months ago. I love my toyota but this app and the functionality is an absolute rip off from TOYOTA. What a shame. Fix it please. It should not be difficult to redo the app or even update the system so it can work more flawlessly. It is 2018 for crying out loud.

My 2017 Serena AWD is a great auto. The Nav, audio and electronics seems like it was engineered by a three year old. This app seems to do nothing, but wants me to login every week.

I’m tired of it logging out and having to re-login most times I get in my truck. At a minimum you could at least add finger print log in. Iheart app wouldn’t recognize my unlimited subscription, which means I can’t skip song using the truck app.

I go out to the car and one with us in the pops up on my phone is because I would like to talk to entire or vice versa And of course it wants the password. Like I’m gonna do that when I’m driving. How about using the fingerprint sensor. And there’s such a delay when I will go to do something using my voice and it’s like the app has to talk to the car and the car has to say OK and then the car has to pop-up the microphone symbol on the dash and finally get the beep to talk. Way to much delay. Fix the app!
Why use this junk?

Toyota why use your software that is junk in your top end vehicles? You make cars stick to that let people who make software make the software. I won’t be buying another of your cars that does not have apple or Android support. Asking anyone to use this app and Entune is a joke. This looks like it was made 10 years ago, get with the times.

This App if laughably bad. Why cant it just stay logged in? Please Toyota, let the tech companies do the software. Hopefully Apple Car Play will be available soon on my 2017 Tacoma.
