Great app

Hats off to the developer. Multiple map layers, contour lines, hi-Rez maps, excellent direction and elevation tracker, easy waypoint system: what's not to love. Best part is that you can download maps from your device and use offline with gps even if your cell service is out of range. The pricing for the pro features are excellent because they respond well with the year long or just seasonal outdoorsmen.

For anyone who bought an overpriced Garmin gps, this app is a savior. First if all the battery consumption is great. Over 7 hours it only used 33% battery in my iphone 6s. The maps are easy to read and trails are well marked. Ap keeps track of elevation gain mph and distance hiked

The Pro version is unbelievable! Love that we can track our hike and save it for review later. The map clarity is spectacular at any zoom level. I use the app with Boy Scouts teaching them how to marry technology with a map and compass.

Interface is intuitive, customer support is excellent, and innovation is ongoing. The developer definitely likes what he is doing and it shows! I like the ease of making my own routes or using the existing routes and trails. Being able to print paper maps is huge as well.
Almost impossible to add Waypoints

The author elected to utilize a Google program to add waypoints. Called a KML. The software is free?; however, the free version has limited resources. I have a boundary and it has multiple bends. Even though it can be entered as a polygon. No corner values are referenced. Also I have multiple points to visit. No the app for me.

The new game management unit boundaries are awesome! Thanks!!! The selection of maps is incredible. Integration with open street map trails is amazingly handy! Ability to download all of the map types for off line access. Easily syncs across devices and great UI. I moved over all my waypoints and trails and deleted all the others! Keep up great work!

Very old topo maps

This app is a great, but the topo maps that the database uses are strikingly old - sometimes over 30 years old - which limits the practical usefulness. The trails are also drawn pretty sketchily. This is a pleasant planning tool, but no substitute for hikers who need an up to date map showing the latest features and precise trail routes.
