Subscribers Deserve Better

patseanryan

I'm a digital subscriber to the New York Times. Signed into my account, I should be able to enjoy content without ads.

Can’t get “add to recipe box” to work

RedFoxMagic

A couple of updates ago the “add to recipe box” button, when viewing in an article in this app, stopped working. It works fine in the actual NYCooking app, but when attempting to use it through the NYTimes app, no longer works. Nothing happens when it’s clicked. I don’t usually have the time to then open the Cooking app & search. Obviously not my biggest problem in life, but as far as apps go, very inconvenient. :(

Night mode

dc9000

Would love to have a night mode feature for more comfortable reading in the dark. Please don't share my personal info and reading habits with your advertisers or I'll have to go paper only.

Would expect better...

Carlavictoria93

Glitchy and it will not let me log in even after I have reset my password like 6 times already... been trying to log in for the past 30 minutes.

Storage hog!

purple_pjs

Why is this app saving over a gig of data on my phone? All I want to do is read the articles. You have to delete the app and reinstall to get the space back. Make it stop!

Design of the app is horrible

raora

The design of the app is horrible, particularly the Opinion section. Logically thinking, the day's editorials and columns should be listed first in the Opinion section. But try searching for a column and it is next to impossible. The Opinion section shows only one editorial for that day and the mixes editorials and columns from multiple days. For example, last Tuesday, I was looking for Paul Krugman's column on the iPhone and I couldn't find it. Please redesign the section so that it is logically ordered.

Awful!

TruroRider

The NYT app gets worse and worse and worse. It takes an age to load. The screen has tons of wasted white space. The visual design is terrible. The stories are scattershot. Boston Globe, Washington Post, the Guardian all have attractive, functional, logical, intuitive apps that load quickly and display stories properly. The paper of record has gone from mediocre to abysmal.

Janky app, always loading

Atrain6969888

This app is so frustrating to use, which is unfortunate because NYT has great content. It always shows to be refreshing, the search function is abysmal and the ads are way too aggressive.

Lowering rating after 3 months of use

SF Peaches

Everything (and more!) that I want to know about current events and breaking news. I love the format and the journalists are the best! No more surfing news channels to stay up to date. After using this app for 3 months I am lowering my rating... I do not mind that I get 10 free articles to read per month- I do mind the fact that when scrolling down to select what I'm going to read the app decides that I've read it when indeed I have not and subtracts it from my free articles - this is bull.
