Prior to an app update within the last year this camera was great. Now as soon as I leave my WiFi the camera disconnects and I can no longer access it. Would not recommend.
No longer a way to view SD card recordings

TENVIS 1080P TH661D Security Camera I can no longer find an option that allows me to view my recordings on the SD card. The camera is pretty worthless without being able to review recorded video clips. — I am not buying cloud service as I bought this camera to record to an SD card.

Used to love this camera and the App but over time it has gotten progressively worse! Every time I open the app there is an issue and I’m forced to try and figure out how to get it working this time. Today when I opened all of the sudden it’s asking for a password that I NEVER set up! So now I’m out of town and cannot see my home. SO DISSATISFIED

I don’t know what the devs are doing, but this worked fine for like the first two years. Ever since the app updates I don’t get notifications anymore. I’ve reset it, gotten new internet, gotten a new phone. Within the phone app I will turn notifications on but it doesn’t stick. It makes having this pointless if it’s not going work.
Have to be in range to work!!

Seem like every time I leave the house the system goes down and does not return until I do…. Defeats the purpose of having a security camera.
App is not iPhone friendly

Many times I wanted to check on my home while away and couldn’t because the app wouldn’t load. Many times I hear a notice from a part of my house and I can’t view it because the app isn’t working. Takes entirely too much to pair the device when the scan code is suppose to make things easier. When it actually works……. Night mode was clear when the lights were off. You can talk to ppl on the other side. A tad delayed with relaying messages . Records video when you choose. If you’re not watching, it’s not recording. You can’t go back to view the day ( hopeful update coming for that).

I’ve had this app and two cameras for some time now. I use them only as pet cams. At peak performance, the app is unreliable. I have to close and reload the app upwards of 10 times just to get it to load my cameras and get off the spinning wheel. And that’s while I’m on the same network as my cameras. I’ve needed to check in on my sick dogs before and I had to just get in to the camera and then keep it open all day on my phone because I couldn’t be sure it would open later. When you can actually view the camera, it is nice to be able to move it around. The sound is clear, too. I used a memory card once and it did record for a bit, but then it stopped and hasn’t recorded since. And notifications were either constant or sporadic, no matter the settings, no in between. The app is fine if you have no other choice.

It’s all garbage. The cameras that crash constantly, the app that is laggy, the cameras that don’t send feed and say disconnected even when they are not. We have gone through 6 cameras in a year and a half. That’s how bad these are.
