Family sharing

E-Connor

It would be nice to have a family sharing option. I’ve wanted to teach our children to meditate, but do not want the added expense to run it on their phones.

App took a nosedive

Kaspen82

I’ve been meditating with this app since it started. I have over 30,000 logged minutes. This app has meant a lot to me and has been very helpful on my journey. The feature that was the most instrumental, that made me sign up, was the live coaching. The ability to be helped by a coach was the thing that made me chose this app. So when I heard that they were to discontinue this function but upgrade to an opportunity to be coached live on a video call I signed up the same second. Since then it’s been crickets. So basically the whole coaching function is gone, I still pay the same price and there is no ability to actually sign up for live coaching. To say that I’m disappointed is a bit of an understatement. Three years of subscription ends today.

I’m a believer! Like new improvements. Wish there was a way for me to mark sessions that I like best and would like to hear again. Maybe color code checks? Thanks Dan for taking the plunge!

Great Podcast and Meditations!

SooFly

Enjoyable and educational in a good way! One big request: SHOW TRANSCRIPT! I usual listen to the show on a run. I’d love to be able to go back and jot some notes down after a show by skimming through a show transcript. I often do this with the podcast, On Being, by Krista Tippet. Love being able to listen and then go back and skim the transcript and journal the high lights and rehabs some personal reflection time. Thanks for making a meaningful podcast.

Especially suited for serious meditators

Dangless

While most mediation apps and guided meditations are quite similar, TPH sets itself apart in terms of education and practical insight from a wide array of expert interviews and courses. Each session starts with a question or concern regarding meditation and is discussed between Dan (host) and the expert leading the course. These short discussions help broaden your understanding of meditation and how to improve. Other apps feel aimless and entice subscribers with fancy UI and animations, which might be good design, but fails to help meditators advance. TPH is the only app I found consistently helpful in deepening my meditation practice. My only complaint is the price of subscription, which is much higher than similar apps and almost never on sale. I suppose it’s warranted for the quality of the content, but really drives a general audience towards less expensive and generic offerings like headspace or calm.

App

My favorite app for mediation. I love Dan Harris and all of his team. They are why I am a mediation. Happy New Year!

Crappy downloading

Otenth

Great content, but why am I paying $100 for a phone app that won’t download audio on an okay phone connection ?

Best mental health support tool outside of therapy

CollegeYogi

The meditation app has been a game changer but with recent upgrades I can also listen to the podcasts that often go along with the most recent meditation challenge in the same app! Add free podcasts and I am not in another application with chance to get distracted on my way to my “lessons”. Highly recommend for anyone who just needs some extra mental health support, which is everyone! Thanks TPH & Dan!

Landscape on iPad?

annoyedbyhunter

So, I enjoy the app. The content is great. It’s educational, inspiring and can help you grow and be 10% happier. My biggest beef has always been the app on the iPad. The iPad app was nothing more than the iPhone app. Tiny and definitely not a positive experience. The iPad app was recently updated so it now looks like an actual iPad app. BUT, if you are like me and use your iPad in landscape mode pretty much exclusively - be aware that this app is locked in portrait mode. Even for videos. You can watch the videos in landscape on the phone, but not on the iPad? It’s a small thing in the grand scheme, but it really creates a distractingly negative experience for me. Any plans for the app to use landscape mode on the iPad? You’re missing out on some engaging user experiences by remaining locked in portrait mode.
