I've tried meditation a lot before but never seem to be able to keep up with it. I've either gotten overwhelmed by it or bored. This app gives the perfect balance of building principles at a good pace and being interesting. It makes me feel like I can really do it. And the coach you get assigned is amazing! They respond quickly and really treat you like a person. It's awesome.

Offline viewing please!!

Please please please add offline viewing to this app. It's the only thing stopping me from subscribing. I spend 2 hours a day on a commuter train and would love to use this time to meditate. Nothing plays offline.

Unlike Dan, I've never been skeptical about the benefits of having a regular meditation practice. That said, I've never kept a reliable meditation schedule but have been on-again/off-again for at least 40 years. This 10% Happier App provides the hand-holding and reliable direction I see I've always needed and I can't recommend it enough. Maybe it will eventually help me with being so fidgety too! ?


There are better mediation apps out there.

First off I looked up all these 5 star review histories on iTunes and all of them seem to only review this and maybe a few other apps this month so it leads me to think that they are all connect to the makers of this app or Dan which is a really unethical way to get people to download this. I've heard Dan speak before and it seems that he only believes in meditation because there's science to back it now, otherwise he would've never gave it a chance. There's nothing wrong with that other than the fact that he's pushing the popularity of his book to get people to pay 10 bucks a month for a mediation app when there are much better alternatives out there like Calm, and headspace (founded by an actual monk), which Dan actually uses. This seems to be more of a general mindfulness app that shows clips of how to be more mindful, but I'm sure all of this type of content can easily be found on YouTube. The mediation sections seem to be very basic and it just loads the audio without putting any effort into designing a interface to look at when you start and finish. There's actually one part where Dan asks Joeseph a question how mindfulness helped him in a certain difficult stimulation on the spot, and you could just from the facial tell that he had to say how mindfulness prevented from getting angry which might not have been the case. If you are a skeptic and going to spend 10 dollars a month on a mediation app, please don't bother with this one! Either use the free Stop Breathe and Think app, or use the 7 day calm/take 10 day session with headspace. Unlike this app you will build a real foundation on how to meditate well as long as start by doing a little each day.

Having tried meditation over the course of the last few years I find Dan's honest discussion with Joseph so helpful & instructive. Look forward to daily meditation with this App. Recommend listening to the 10% Happier podcast as well!

This app and the book are excellent. Harris and Goldstein do a great job making meditation and mindfulness understandable. Harris especially has a knack for taking the mysticism out of mindfulness. This app has done for me what classes and several books have not been able to do.......make sense of it all.

Like many other reviewer's I have tried meditation from time to time in the past. While I found it helpful, I have also found it difficult to integrate it into my daily life. This app has made all the difference, and I can truthfully say that meditation and mindfulness has become a part of my daily routine and my daily experience. Dan is a wonderful guide and Joseph is an amazing mentor, I look forward to my time with them every day. Thanks Joseph and Dan!

After reading the book 10% happier I was so amazed to find out that there was an app. Since I've tried the meditation session with this app, I feel very relaxed. It's not the first time I tried meditation, however It the first time that I feel that it really works for me. Love it ! Highly recommended. :) :)
