WHAT IS TAYLORSENSE?
TaylorSense is an optional add-on feature for your Taylor guitar. A smart battery box that replaces any 9V battery box in a Taylor guitar, TaylorSense uses sensors to monitor the humidity, temperature and battery life of your guitar along with any potentially damaging physical impact it suffers, and sends alert messages to your phone via the Taylor Guitars App when care is needed for your instrument.
TaylorSense Features:
DASHBOARD - The central hub for your TaylorSense data displays all the vital signs of any connected guitar on one screen.
HUMIDITY - A digital hygrometer monitors the humidity of your Taylor guitar. If the levels remain too low or high, you’ll receive an alert.
TEMPERATURE - Exposure to extreme heat or cold can damage a guitar. TaylorSense alerts you if the temperature becomes dangerous for your guitar.
BATTERY - TaylorSense lets you check the battery life of your onboard pickup anytime through the app, so you’ll always know where you stand.
IMPACT - TaylorSense will alert you if your guitar suffers a serious blow and record the time of the impact so you can inspect it for damage.

I love being able to check the battery status before heading out to a gig (or in the middle of one). It also give me peace of mind when away from home to see the range of temperatures and humidities my guitar has been through.

Only rating 4 stars instead of 5 because the initial install wouldn’t connect to my TaylorSense battery box. After I uninstalled and reinstalled the app it worked like a charm. Taylor customer service was great in helping me work through that. The app works perfectly as advertised. I can see humidity trends and battery level and other info. The humidistat is why I went this route. It is so helpful. I love my Taylor and this app helps me take good care of it!

I wish this app would work reliably like the original version as it pertains to temperature and humidity. I don’t really need months and months of historical data. A three week trend is plenty. What I really want is for this app to NOT generate false alerts every time I unplug from the ES2. It’s randomly presenting temp and RH alerts for bogus measures like 32 degrees and extremely low humidity but just when I unplug. I have called customer service on this. Got a whole new sense unit & reconfig’d app. Worked for a week and then boom, back to flakey! Never had this crap before the first app update. It’s a frustrating bug.

Works well. Useful readings on humidity and battery life. Impact reports are a little confusing in that they often come up when the has not been moved, let alone handled roughly.

I’ve never seen an app that shows me how to care for an instrument more than TaylorSense. I love my 814ce and this app helps me keep it in prime condition. Thank you Taylor for creating a device/app that cares for my instrument as much as I do.
