Not accurate

I was so excited to use this app, but we also had to break out the pen and part. Great concept but not accurate. The tax was also double the amount of the bill?? Our bill was like $240 and tax came out as $230 and I wasn’t able to edit it. So everyone abandoned the AP and resorted back to traditional methods to sort out the bill... bummer! Was a brilliant concept!

I recently used this app for the first time and was able to split a bill between seven people fairly easily and give them their total. I had a question come up later but could not get back to the details to verify that we had split the bill correctly, adding some audit trail would be really useful in this situation. Additionally, another great feature would be to be able to send out, via text or email, an itemized receipt to each of the bill participants. The people I regularly split large bills with have a wide range of comfort with technology, it would be nice to be able to send them something more detailed than just their totals but show them the items selected and their portion of taxes and tip. Asking them to join the bill from their device is way beyond what they would be willing to do. With these two enhancements, this would be the perfect app for my needs.

This is a great app. One suggestion I have is to be able to edit a person’s name or have the ability to remove them all together. Other than that, this app is exactly what I’ve been needing! I will use this all the time now. At large dinners it was always a hassle to split bills and people would get charged equally for tip and tax but always felt it was unfair to get charged the same tip and tax rate when they got a cheaper meal - so this app solves that problem for me!

This app appears to send a photo of the receipt up to a server, where the OCR work is done. In any case, the result is exceptionally good and accurate processing. Then it's very easy to assign amounts to individual people, allocating expenses separately for each person. It allows you to add additional items, correct misinterpreted ones, enter any discounts, as well as specifying the amount of sales tax and the percent of tip. If the check is handwritten, or there is any other reason that you need to enter all the amounts yourself, you can skip the photo and OCR, and enter the numbers manually. It's all very easy, and the user interface is well done. I contacted technical support with a potential problem, and their responsiveness was excellent.

Went to dinner with a group of 13 women. This is a regular event and when the bill comes it is always a huge pain. Amazing how bad some people are at math when it comes to paying their share :). Tab scanned the bill, separated multiple items, figured out tax and tip perfectly! It will even divide an item for like shared appetizers. Moving it to my Fav folder.
