Tab - The simple bill splitter

Tab is the simple way to split a bill among friends. Snap a pic of the receipt and tap your items to claim them. Tax and tip are calculated for you. No more back-of-the-napkin algebra or typing in prices by hand!

Here’s how it works:

- Take a picture of your itemized receipt. Tab automatically detects all the items and prices.
- Select which items each person ordered. Everyone that has Tab on their phone can join onto the bill and select their own items - the app keeps everything synced in real-time.
- Multiple people can select the same item if they shared it.
- Tax and tip are automatically divided proportionally.
- If it's someone's birthday, you can split their total evenly among everyone else.
- Settle up within your group using integrated Venmo or by recording a cash payment.

It would be great if you could give a title for your bills with the name of the restaurant and/or occasion. I also think a more detailed itemized history of old bills would be nice. Great app overall though!

An astonishing app

This is an awesome app. It's clean and easy to use. And mostly intuitive. I'm upgrading my review to five stars now that one huge issue has been resolved in the recent update with dividing up the grand total when the cents don't split equally between each person. More minor issues: • You can't use 3rd party keyboards for typing in the app. • You can't delete or edit a person's name who is added to the bill. • It would be nice to edit an item by long pressing or 3D pressing on items. Since the items on the tab aren't delineated with separating lines, it's less intuitive that you swipe on items to edit them. (For example, in other apps like Mail, or Messages, you swipe on things that have line spacers between them.)

First, this developer listens and responds. Second, new features are coming. I use this anytime I am out spending with friends. Just take a picture of the receipt and split it up. Very easy, and the fact that others can join the bill from their devices is awesome. Even has Venmo option. I’m willing to pay for more features :) Thanks for developing this!!
