I am in Saigon and using solis x for the first. The service is in and out half the time and the app went blank when I tried to add more data.


This App is Totally Useless

I downloaded the app on my iPad and it doesn’t work at all. You open it up (it can only be used in portrait mode, which is irritating when you use a keyboard) and it brings you to a screen where you can only select “set up hotspot” (no one of the other options work). When you click that, you are brought to a new screen where none of the buttons do anything. All you can do it exit the app. I downloaded the app on my phone thinking that maybe it has iPad issues, and it works a little more, but it doesn’t let me login to my account. It tells me that I’m not connected to a server - which I am. This is a rental Skyroam for what it’s worth. I was renting to test it out before buying, but now I’m going to return it even before my rental period is up. Thanks for creating a product and software that are completely useless.

Purchased one month subscription in Latin America , service is so slow a simple song or web page takes forever to load . Had to use my regular service instead , pure garbage


No difference between a Daypass and GoData 1GB subscription

They claim you get unlimited data for 24 hours on a daypass but after 1GB, you get throttled so much your connection slows down terribly it’s pointless and can’t even connect to websites. All you can do is use a messaging app. While having 0.03Mbps connection is better than none at all, I think the 1GB threshold on the daypass is too low.


Device is not working and horrible customer service

I have been experiencing problems with the device and reached out to support. Very frustrating that they are either not capable or willing to look into my problem. Support just tried to tell me to buy more data while this is obviously a device issue and I only purchased this about 5 months ago. Complete waste of time if you try to get their support. Just pray you will never have issues.


Worthless app for iOS

This app is not user friendly at all. I have the same problem that one reviewer said: that it couldn’t find the server. Also, it will allow me to login. Even though I put in my password, the button to hit enter never illuminated. When I called tech support, they even confirmed that it’s better to login through the browser, because they’ve been having problems with iOS. Ridiculous. If that is the case, remove the app from the App Store. I’m traveling to Nigeria next week & it better work.

The Solis App Does Show Data Usage

The Solis App doesn’t work on my iPad, except to connect to Skyroam. The data status is permanently stuck at 365MB even when my DataGo Plan uploads my monthly 1GB. The data status on the Solis App on my iPhone is permanently stuck at 99MB even when my DataGo Plan uploads my monthly 1GB. So I never know the data status on either device and have to go to my computer to find determine what it is. Problem is I often travel with just my iPhone and iPad, and what’s the point of having a Solis app if it’s useless in terms of data status update. Extremely frustrating, and my email messages with Skyroam have not been helpful in resolving this issue.


Password change/Kick people off

There should be an option to change the password if you choose. Additionally, There should be a way to see who is connected to you hotspot, NOT just the number of people. Lastly, you should be able to kick people off your hotspot, if you no longer want them on it. These should be standard features... not sure why they are not.
