Sometime in the past couple of updates, they’ve removed my TV model from the list of supported devices. UN65NU8000FXZA Now I can’t connect the TV to the app anymore, which means I can’t use Alexa. Please add it back! The app supports all the other UN65NU models… why not the 8000 anymore?

This app demands far too much access before allowing the simple task of adding a device. It requires “Always” location access, microphone access, and a Samsung account which demands name, email and birthdate. On top of it all, once these permissions were granted, it failed to set up my Samsung TV and I had to resort to manual setup via the remote.

The app won’t stay logged in and the app won’t connect to my hub anymore. I know the hub works because Alexa still controls everything correctly and my routines all work.Just can’t manually use the app. Pretty useless now.

Dear Samsung, it was nice knowing you. I’ll never buy anything Samsung ever again. This app has been nothing but problems since the beginning of its creation. I don’t know who the developer is but seriously, no offense- consider changing your career and find someone else to manage and bug fix this dang garbage app.

This has happened occasionally in the past, and like another review I’m getting a network connection error. I only use the app to connect to my Samsung soundbar which it usually does well, except during these backend server problems. I’m using the latest app version and have restarted my phone, all to no avail.

Why do developers and software companies break everything when An update is applied. Nothing works and support was no help.

Besides it not being able to connect to devices at times, when you’re able to it’s a great convenient app
