Can this app be any worse?

I cannot believe this worthless app is made by an electronic giant such as Samsung. - The feature set is so basic it’s laughable (when they work). The app constantly bombs on multiple (up to date) devices while uploading pictures to frame TVs. (Including Samsung phones and tablets). The non-stop requests to enable two-step verification which cannot be disabled.

Ruined the app

Anybody notice how the review you see when you look at this is two years old. That’s because as far as I’m concerned after Samsung bought this they ruined this app. Super slow, moderately confusing, and as far as I’m concerned not what I paid for when I bought SmartThings. One of the biggest reasons I bought it is because the app was good and easy to use. I never bought it to connect to Samsung appliances. And now with this last update my phone get even connect to the server. Apple HomeKit here I come. I had to give it to stars because when I can’t connect to the network it does work but that’s the only reason.

Wake Up Samsung!!!!

Release after release and phone presence sensor still not working! Developer stated they are aware of this bug three releases ago and still no fix. Read everyone’s issues on many threads online we are struggling here and considering jumping ship and going to your competitor. Time to wake up!!!!

So glitchy

It can keep connected to my tvs. Also have lots of trouble connecting to air purifier. It works right about 60% of the time.

I love my new Samsung product! This is my 4th Samsung purchase! I love all of my Samsung products!

Remote control needs to be more intuitive.

I keep finding myself having to restart the app in order to have a fluid mouse like feature on the browser side when using the app. so annoying. sometimes it works. sometimes is so slow or buggy. But when it’s smooth it’s great. Wish there was a “menu” feature on the app like there is a menu button on the physical control. Also if there was better automations. For example, coming home and telling siri i’m home and she’ll turn on the tv and launch an app or website on command.

crap crap and crap

nononothanks

15 minutes of setup. accounts. permissions and all kinds of passcodes and connections. finally wait for it to process and voila i get an error code. next it asks you to send the error code but provides no email or any contact info. did i mention this is piece of crap?

Stops working a lot

I have a Samsung Smart TV. I’ve used this from time to time to turn on the TV when I was away from home to give the appearance someone was in the house. However, about half the time it doesn’t connect to the TV. It doesn’t matter if I’m in the house with my phone on the same WiFi or not. It just seems to randomly disconnect. There seems to be no definitive way to reconnect the app with the TV either. I uninstall, power off and reset the TV and eventually it reconnects. Doesn’t work if I’m away though. Very annoying that a Samsung app and product can’t stay connected and work when you want it to.

I like the app
