Skip / Helbiz scooters are behind their competitors in terms of technology, and require pre-payments in increments of $10 vs the others who only charge per mile ridden. I spent 10+ minutes making an account (which required an ID) and attempting to activate / unlock the scooter. My phone confirmed the scooter was unlocked, but the scooter kept sounding an alarm each time I touched it. I spent another 5+ minutes on hold (no answer / no response), and a “live chat” that I ended after waiting several minutes for a response. Other micro mobility providers are much simpler to sign up for, don’t require ID, only charge per mile ridden, and have a functioning customer service department. Skip, however, fails in all of these areas. I highly recommend avoiding the Skip app and their micro mobility services altogether.

these machines are honestly incredible; the speed of these Thorobreds is genuinely astounding. The strength as well on those scooters is phenomenal; Today I saw two men ride on the same machine for an impressively significant distance.

Skip has the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. I ended a ride that was 3 blocks away from my house, should have been about 2.50$ max, took a picture of parking and everything. Come back out to go home and the ride was still going, it glitched and never ended, even though I ended it. It charged me around 19$, when I contacted costumer service they basically told me next time I should be more careful when ending a ride. Any other company would have apologized about the error and received a refund. They said they don’t see an error on their side and can send me a 5$ voucher... no sorry a 5$ voucher isn’t going to fix this problem. After reading several other reviews I saw other people with the same complaint. Apparently they have done this to many people. Not a trustworthy company and awful costumer service. Stick with bird and lime scooters.

I bought one day unlimited. 12.99 $ When you buy it it doesn’t show anywhere to give 20 min breaks each 30 minutes ride. I paid another 12$ for this robbing app.

I rode a scooter for 9 minutes home one evening and ended the ride. I was charged $46 for the ride staying that I rode for 120 minutes. Customer service said I paused, but never ended the ride which is false. When asking for a refund, they refused and told me to be more careful…
