Skip does not pay rangers/chargers on time!

I have been working for skip as a charger or ranger 2 years. I have never experienced terrible support for rangers who we go out there in the cold, rain, snow late at night and early in the morning. If you are looking for work similar to charging - work with bird or line they never had any issues for paying me on time and they will f you over and over. $3 a skip to $5 a scooter is a total joke.

The scooters are pretty good but the one I was riding the handel bars where crooked so it was ok but I added my own booster so it whent around 65 mph and that was cool

I’m not from here but I did realize skip is faster than Lyft .i didn’t try any other ones ... I was also riding for fun. It was 9.99 for 31 mins ???♀️ . Overall it was worth it . We don’t have these back home .

It was a nice visit hope to come back and do it again. Everyone in Washington was extremely pleasant something that I didn’t think would be especially for a first timer.

I’ve always liked Skip’s scooters, they always seem to be less broken or beat up than the Lyft/Spin/Line/Bird ones. And they’re not big bulky overly complicated contraptions like Bolt scooters. However I was usually using Spin scooters as they didn’t have the $1 start up fee. I don’t mind the fee on longer rides, but I usually use scooters for quite short trips, so $1 can really add up over time. Now Skip has a $0 start up fee (at least in the DC area), so they’re certainly my go to. They also have the free Hold function, so you can leave the scooter outside while you run in somewhere to grab take-out or whatever, and not need to start a whole new ride when you come back you. PLUS, they are now giving me a $20 credit for being an essential worker. That plus the lack of start up fee really makes having to work during a pandemic more tolerable. I’m going to go out of my way to grab Spin scooters now. You should too, they’ve really surpassed the competition, in my opinion.
