I have been charged twice in a row for scooters that didn’t unlock. I reached out in the app, on social media, and via email and have gotten no refund. USE OTHER SCOOTER APPS!
No such thing as parking zones

The app doesn’t recognize parking zones. My pictures were clear and showed that they were in a parking zone, yet I was charged for the time it took for them to decide it was a zone. Don’t do it.

You gotta be joking. I tried their parking zone 5 time wasted 30 minutes. Don’t even look the direction of this scooter. Literally anything else is better

Disclaimer: I live in Washington DC which has changed its rules on scooters a lot in the last few months. Skip is by far the worse app of all scooter apps when it comes to handling changing city scooter rules. They failed to notify me at all of the requirement to lock your scooter to a post or bike rack, and will reject scooter parking due to “not being in a parking zone” despite that not being a requirement for the city.

The scooters are slower and have worse brakes than every other brand. Additionally, they are way more picky about where you can park than any other brand. The app won’t notify you that you are in a forbidden parking zone until after you have locked the scooter to take a photo. Then, there is no unlock button in the app so you will have to text customer service for 15 minutes all while you are being charged. After all that, you will not get a refund. Don’t waste your time, get any other scooter app.

I have yet to find a fully charged scooter around here and many of them need maintenance. Maybe people just don’t use them much but it’s different than what I see in other cities
New update is total crap

New update doesn’t work at all, super buggy and never connects no matter how often I close and reopen. Can’t even write a ticket to customer support in it, the app just crashes. Don’t update.

Unreliable app service in the city (San Francisco), especially in areas where it would be most useful (I.e. Hills, areas that can take 10 mins -1 hr 30 mins depending on travel style).
