Family loves it. Helps link iOS users and Android users with the same if not better encryption that iMessage affords.

Signal is a great app but please add the feature that allows users to unsend sent messages. TIA

Title sounds sensational I know, but it’s true. There’s a myriad of issues that lead to loss of data. Per the nature of Signal, none of your chats are stored online. They exist only on your phone and any linked devices. That’s fine and dandy. Signal even has a backup and restore feature, documentation and everything. ONLY FOR ANDROID. THERE IS NO WAY TO BACK UP ON iOS. The most ridiculous thing is that the functionality has been in the app for over two years! It’s stable! Quit keeping it locked behind a debug build! Second, within a year or two of using the app, you will most likely lose authentication with the server, usually around the time new features are added on the servers. This requires a RESET AND LOSS OF DATA. Again on Android, you can reauthenticate without issue! The developers have cared more about matching features of more popular messengers without considering the fact that every single Signal user since the app has launched is a ticking time bomb for their entire chat history to be wiped out. Over the years I’ve put up with it but I’ve pushed most everyone I know to Telegram. I recommend other users do the same. Because in the end, things need to actually work, and not completely crash and burn at random. iOS users are clearly second class citizens to these devs.

...to tap into API that puts Signal messages in the sharing suggestion section of share sheets. Thanks

Encrypted too! Why wouldn’t you use it? (And donate to keep it running.)

Please remove the stickers from the character field. I have accidentally sent stickers and find it very frustrating. Please focus on the utility of this app instead of social features. As with other users, please incorporate a separate password for app instead of using global local access with device password. Very reduced security/privacy. I’d happily donate to this cause, but not for stickers. Thanks. Hope you listen. Removal of stickers is a resounding feedback message in recent reviews.

Signal is good for security but impossible to organize the messages or the threads. Also new people joining a group chat cannot see any of the previous messages, ugh. It’s non-intuitive how to “share your profile” and near impossible to get a new number from out of a chat into your contacts. Pretty clunky. I keep lobbying to get folks to switch to keybase and just use signal for voice.
