Trash no excuses, others make their apps work

I have bought other tools that utilize an app, from cheap China made endoscopic cameras-to paint color detectors by 2 year old companies. So what does it say about Ryobi; that this is the first time EVER that a tool and its app won’t even sync - omg this brand; I should have known better.

Got this to use with their inspection camera, BUT every time I try to use it, it crashes. I have to re download it and set it back up and it works one time fine but when you go to use it again it has the startup screen covering most of the screen. You can see the very bottom of the video but the black startup screen covers all of it except the bottom 1/16” of the video then you have to delete it and redone load it and set it back up and use it one time. It’s a great idea but if the app that makes it all work is crap then it’s a waste of time and money getting it

So it’s been more than a year now and Ryobi still can’t manage to update there software and fix all there problems. I can’t use a couple of hundred dollars in merchandise as non seem compatible and always get an error message. What a scam.

I am trying to activate an inspection scope. I followed the directions to set up a Ryobi Home Works account. When I selected the create button, it blinked, but nothing else happened. I have tried again several times, tried the forgot your password, uninstalled and reinstalled the app. It simply collects your email but does nothing else. I am not going to buy Ryobi tools again. I will go back to DeWalt and Milwaukee.

I just purchased at Home Depot the Ryobi ES3001 Water Sensor (probably an update to the ES3000 which was also on on the shelf and is also sold on Amazon.). It will not pair by bluetooth to the iPhone 11 Pro. While searching on the app for help, I found a manual for the device that does not list compatibility after the iPhone 6. The app is also incredible buggy to install and to register as a user. I kept getting error codes when trying to register, only to find out that it had registered me. Best to avoid.

The company does not offer product updates to allow use of newer model phones with your Ryobi device

Got a moisture meter. Waste of time with app. Buggy and limited. Couldn’t get it to pair with my phone.

the stud finder was a complete waste of money. didn’t realize it required an app to run it and it is worthless.

From trying to open the package to being unable to make the app work, I would rather rip the wall open to see what’s behind it. This scope does not connect to your phone.
