Garbage

airexasaurus

Title says it all. There’s a reason no one likes this, just like the other Ryobi products. Plug in the “laser level” and the app crashes. Should have known and went with my gut. Ryobi is a terrible brand. Never again.

This device and its associated app is garbage. After spending at least 40 minutes watching videos, trying to decipher the minimal instructions, and having no success, I gave up. Ryobi should be ashamed to put out such a poorly conceived piece of equipment and associated app. I was using, or trying to use their moisture meter with an iPhone.

What a pain

Great idea, lowsy setup, impossible to get going. Get the marketing people out of the product!

Seriously, can’t even create an account!!

gardenia63b

My husband bought all of these tools and the app will not even create my account!! The screen simply flashes when I click “create account” and nothing happens! I am sure the tools are great, as most of our Ryobi tools have lasted year, but seriously, hire a decent app developer!!!

Totally Broken

Get me to Columbia

This app used to work (albeit poorly) on my iPhone 6. On the iPhone X, the graphics are unreadable, and the connected devices don’t work AT ALL with the software. My “stud finder” is now a plastic brick; I have better luck banging it on the wall to identify stud locations than using the app. Terrible app by a company who clearly doesn’t care.

Wireless Inspection Scope

I’m shocked at how this App doesn’t work, yet its the only way it’ll work with a phone. I have iPhone 7 on IOS 11.4.1. Customer Support Terrible, on hold 33mins before I hung up... Product Returned..

Worthless

Could not create an account, could not activate the scope. What I found most amusing, was after an hour of endlessly trying to activate the scope, the fine print on the instruction sheet told me where I could go to find out if my phone was compatible. Well, the scope just went back to the store for a refund!! RYOBI, please get your act together.

Will not read. Do not waste your time or money on these devices.

I bought The inspections scope yesterday at Home Depot I read all the negative reviews I downloaded the app it asked to access the Wi-Fi and my camera didn’t make me set up a an account with the password or anything turn the scope on did my business everything worked fine so I don’t know what all the hoopla is about the negativity hope this helps you maybe some customers are not technical or savi in this area but it was basically a no brainer I’ll write more as I try out the other products although I pretty much have most of those high-end ones that were 45 $600 each so these are great for a little temporary uses but for large jobs to find him a water pipe in the yard or things like that these devices don’t do that type of work but I didn’t expect it till it was for a small job to find if there was any mold growing in between the drywall and found no mold yay

Works better than expected with iPhone XR: Wireless Inspection Scope

Super Lou

It works great right out of the package. I bought it today at Home Depot. Almost didn’t buy it after reading poor reviews inside the store.... My biggest problem was that I tried to set it up without reviewing the instructions. Once I set up WiFi communication inside my phones settings, it was a breeze. I started out in basic mode, but quickly switched to the more advanced mode to save images. I had only one glitch when I could not get to the “OK” button on the scope’s app main screen . I simply closed and restarted the app without further issues. Two suggestions:1) The gripper mechanism for the phone is somewhat flimsy. You must use it or keep the phone within 10 feet since you are using the phone as your video monitor. I have dropped phones in the past with cracked screens ruining my day. 2) The battery cover comes off too easily. I decided to secure it with duct tape! I like the scope for the price. Today I used it to locate wiring and plumbing in a bathroom wall before mounting a cabinet.
