-If you're immune to alarm clocks in the morning, you must try Rocket Alarm. Trust me, before I used Rocket Alarm, I had the hardest time getting out of bed.
The developers focused so hard on the nice visuals and the “astronaut” sounds that they didn’t focus on making it an actual alarm. Like, I set the alarm for 6:15 for work, I literally didn’t even wake up until a half hour later and that was only because of my backup Apple alarm. I tried to figure out how this was possible, and I see that the alarm is totally useless if your phone is locked. You can just hit the volume button to turn off all the noise. Which makes this app literally useless. It’s the exact same as the standard Apple alarm. Unless you *want* to unlock your phone in the mornings and play a 2 minute annoying sounding game, then I guess this app is for you
I downloaded this app because me being me I thought “oh hey this will help wake me up In the mornings for school” nope! The alarm won’t work, at all! I even tested it a few minutes again think ing o just slept through the alarms but the alarms don’t go off, I really hope you can fix this error
Doesn’t work if your phone locks. No update on four years. Should be removed from App Store. DO NOT DOWNLOAD.
The phone has to unlocked (screen must be on) and app has to be open for the app to work. Stupid.
the alarm didn’t even go off at 6:30 it went off at 8:13 so thanks a lot! ??
I’m not that big a fan of the app, but thats more on my ability to turn off the alarm and still manage to go back to sleep. BUT! The alarm “Mineral” sounds exactly like the opening of the song “Radha Kaise Na Jale” from a Bollywood movie Lagaan (2001). If you’re gonna use a tune that’s super recognizable to almost 3 billion people, at least give credit where credit is due.
Hopefully just a bug but I have had phantom alarms go off. Either with no alarm set for that day or a half hour to hour before or after the alarm. As well as forcing me to complete the task about every 30 seconds.
I got this so that during quarantine I could keep a fairly normal sleep schedule, but so far I have been sleeping through the alarms. This could be on my part, but then I also got an alarm two hours after I wanted the alarm to go off. Even though I set my alarm at full volume, it was extremely quiet. I don’t know if this is because I sleep with music on (iTunes, so if the alarm doesn’t go off with the music on I’m screwed). Of course, this could be my own mistake for sleeping through the alarm. Now lets move on the good stuff. The graphics are great and the backgrounds/wallpapers are pleasantly calm. I don’t know if I just slept through the alarm or if it didn’t go off because my music was on, but if it is the second reason I would love for that to be fixed so that the alarm can still go off. Thank you! edit: Okay, so I found out how to do it correctly. Now that I know how to do it right I’m a lot more pleased with the app.
I couldn’t purchase any of the more difficult games and the only free one is just clicking “close” which is the same as the phones built in alarm. The aspect ratio isn’t right for the latest phones which makes me think they stopped updating the app. Shame, because it’s really pretty!
